    Caring staff, fun activities, safe

I'm very pleased with this community - the staff are warm, professional and responsive, meals are delicious and varied, and there are engaging daily activities that foster real social connection. My roomy, light-filled apartment is in a beautiful, modern facility with on-site medical care and Alzheimer's Association support; I feel safe, well cared for, and that management listens and acts, so it's excellent value overall.

About The Ivy at Blue Oaks

The Ivy At Blue Oaks opens in 2024 as a new luxury senior living community tucked in a quiet Roseville neighborhood surrounded by calm streets, places to eat, and places to shop, with easy access to I-80 and CA-65, and has spacious apartment homes-some studios and some one-bedroom layouts-like Whitney, Trinity, Larkspur, and Santiago. The grounds are pretty big with a courtyard, walking paths, outdoor gardens, patios, water features, and an outdoor music garden called Evergreen at Ivy, all built so residents can sit outside, walk, or join in on outdoor activities, plus indoor and outdoor common rooms for games or social time, a fitness & wellness center, a sensory therapy lounge, and a full-service salon. Folks get to pick from independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and continuing care retirement community options, so everybody can adjust care as needs change, and the building stays secure with controlled access, security systems, and on-site staff trained to help with everything from daily needs to medication management and chronic disease support.

Daily life rolls along with a bunch of activities-arts, crafts, music, book clubs, tech programs, gardening, organized outings around town, educational events, hobby workshops, fitness classes like Tai Chi and aquatic fitness, and plenty of lounges and rooms for movies, golf, games, or events, along with planned seasonal and holiday get-togethers. Restaurant-style dining runs all day in a dedicated dining room, with options for al fresco meals and a full-service bistro and lounge, offering residents menus for special diets-diabetic, vegetarian, kosher, low-fat, or low-salt-plus flexible dining hours, guest meals, and even room service if wanted. Housekeeping and laundry come weekly, and maintenance crews handle repairs, plant care, and even pest control, while extra services cover pet care, spa services, and concierge doctor visits, so folks can stay comfortable in their apartments.

Residents find wellness programs for all ages and conditions, with an on-site wellness center for therapy, personal training, support groups, and activities designed for brain health, fitness, and staying independent, and there are nurses around and staff on call every hour of the day for help with personal care, safety, and emergency response systems, along with medication reminders and escorts where needed. Memory care suits residents living with Alzheimer's or dementia, with therapies in special sensory lounges, and skilled nursing is there for those who need a higher level of hands-on or medical care. The place is wheelchair-friendly and has transportation services to shops, medical appointments, or outings, plus a parking lot for those who still drive, and in every corner there's Wi-Fi and cable ready to go.

No matter what care someone needs, the staff makes individual plans so residents get help that fits them, whether that's with wellness, safety, privacy, or independence, and different tools like emergency alert systems and security guards add layers of peace of mind. Communal spaces-like the movie theater, business center, church, bar, or entertainment venues-invite folks to gather, while apartment features like kitchens, in-unit laundry, closets, and balconies keep things homelike. Residents pay with private funds, long-term care insurance, or veterans' aid, and can count on regular social events, basic cable, and utilities included. The aim is to let older adults age in place, enjoy a full social life, and get just the right support all on one campus, with a team nearby any time someone needs a hand.
