    Comfortable clean homelike facility, recommended

I live here and feel very comfortable - the facility is clean and homelike, staff are consistently warm, helpful, and respectful, and the meals are excellent with generous portions. On-site PT/OT/speech and coordinated nursing give me peace of mind with smooth care transitions. I enjoy the activities and friendly residents (I love bingo), though I'd like a fuller activities calendar. Overall I'm very happy and would highly recommend it.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews for The Glenwood Supportive Living of Greenville is strongly positive. Reviewers repeatedly highlight respectful, dignified, and compassionate care delivered by staff who often become trusted, reliable companions for residents. Families and residents emphasize peace of mind resulting from personalized care plans, coordinated nursing and management, and the availability of on-site therapies (physical, occupational, and speech), which supports smooth transitions in care and continuity for changing needs.

Care quality and staffing receive the most consistent praise. Staff are described as warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive; reviewers cite quick, accurate assessments of residents' conditions, increased interaction during declines, and helpfulness with both physical and mental health needs. Multiple comments point to staff responsiveness to families, accommodation for long-term care needs, and an overall environment of respect and dignity. The workplace culture also appears healthy—several reviews note staff job satisfaction and that employees feel welcomed, which likely contributes to consistent, personable resident care.

Facility and amenities are also strong positives. The building is frequently described as clean, homelike, and welcoming, with pleasant holiday decorations and a homey atmosphere. Accommodations like double bedrooms, a patio, and a variety of amenities receive favorable remarks. Practical services such as timely laundry and smooth administrative coordination are noted, and the facility’s flexibility around payment options (Medicaid or out-of-pocket) is highlighted as an advantage for families exploring different stays.

Dining and social life are commonly praised. The kitchen and dining staff are singled out for providing very good meals with generous portions; many reviewers expressly compliment the food and the kitchen team. Social interaction with fellow residents is noted as enjoyable, with activities such as bingo and holiday events contributing positively to resident life. Reviewers appreciate the social visits, celebrating seasonal decorations, and the general friendliness of peers.

The most frequent areas for improvement center on activities and occasional organizational concerns. Several reviewers ask for more in-building activities, a fuller or clearer activities calendar, and more frequent engagement options—this is the single most common constructive criticism amid the largely positive feedback. A smaller number of reviewers mention staff/leadership turnover (specifically head nurse turnover), which can cause concern about continuity. One family expressed disappointment about a relocation to memory care, indicating that moves between levels of care can be upsetting and may need clearer communication or more support during transitions.

In summary, The Glenwood Supportive Living of Greenville is portrayed as a clean, caring, and well-managed supportive living community with strong clinical supports, excellent food, and a genuinely friendly resident and staff culture. The primary opportunities for improvement are expanding and better organizing on-site activities and ensuring stability and clear communication during care-level transitions. Given the volume and consistency of positive comments about staff, care quality, facilities, and dining, the overall picture is of a facility that delivers reliable, person-centered supportive living with some manageable areas for enhancement.
