    Clean, caring, comfortable but pricey

I toured this nearly new, spotless senior living community and came away very impressed - clean, well-maintained, homey decor, comfortable apartments with private baths, large closets and accessible restrooms. The staff were outstanding overall (24-hour nursing, attentive CNAs, conscientious post-surgery care and strong leadership), meals were very good and activities are plentiful, giving a small, family-feeling atmosphere. It's not luxurious and felt fairly expensive at about $1,500/month private-pay; a few people mentioned staff being overworked. Overall, a welcoming, safe place I would recommend for someone who needs regular care, though not ideal if still fully independent.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the review summaries is strongly positive, with frequent emphasis on a warm, home-like atmosphere and attentive, compassionate staff. Many reviewers highlight the community's cleanliness, comfortable and attractive decor, and the small-community or family-like feel that helps residents and families feel safe and welcomed. The presence of 24-hour nursing, skilled post-surgery and rehab support, and conscientious after-surgery care are repeatedly noted, giving families confidence in medical oversight and hands-on caregiving.

Staff quality is a standout theme. Multiple reviewers call out nurses, CNAs, and leadership by name (for example, praise for staff like Catelyn, Amy, Shelli, and Katelyn Woodward), describing them as knowledgeable, professional, energetic, and caring. Several accounts emphasize staff who make residents feel part of the family, compassionate caregivers, and attentive leadership that coordinates moves and discharges smoothly. However, there are a few isolated but serious negative comments reporting overworked or uncaring staff and poor management; these contrast with the prevailing positive view and suggest variability in individual experiences or staffing circumstances at times.

Facilities and living accommodations receive frequent praise for being comfortable and apartment-like. Reviewers note private studio apartments equipped with microwaves, refrigerators, sinks, private bathrooms, large closets, and the option to bring personal furniture, which contributes to a personalized, homelike environment. Common areas such as a fireplace social area, attractive dining room, garden and outdoor spaces are valued as welcoming gathering places. At the same time, impressions about the facility’s age and appearance vary: some describe the community as brand new and elegant, while others call it older, darker, or narrow in parts, indicating a mixed perception of how modern or open the physical plant feels.

Dining is another frequent positive. Many reviews praise the chef and meal quality—terms like "very good," "almost gourmet," and "menu-driven" appear multiple times. The staff’s ability to accommodate dietary preferences and tailor meals to individual needs is mentioned repeatedly. A few reviewers, however, note a limited menu or less variety, indicating that meal experiences can vary by expectation or occasion.

Activities programming is characterized as lively and varied: daily activities, exercise, bingo, word games, crafting, live music, singing, guitar, and even playful events like fishing tournaments are referenced. Several reviewers emphasize that staff keep residents engaged and active, contributing to a sense of movement and social connection. Contrastingly, a small number of visits found no activities occurring during the tour, and some reviewers called the activities average or limited, suggesting occasional inconsistencies in programming or scheduling.

Cost and fit for residents draw mixed feedback. Some reviewers call the community reasonably priced and highlight value for services like laundry and apartment cleaning, while others describe it as fairly expensive and note private-pay requirements. A few families felt the community was not a good fit for someone who remains highly independent. Overall, most reviewers recommend the community for those needing assisted living or rehab-level support, particularly when seeking a small, personal environment.

Taken together, the reviews paint a picture of a warm, clean, and well-run assisted living community with strong caregiving, good meals, and a home-like atmosphere that many families would recommend. The most consistent strengths are staff compassion and competence, personalized apartments, effective coordination around transitions, and an active social program. The main concerns to weigh are occasional reports of staff being overworked or inconsistent, mixed impressions about the building’s age and openness, variability in activity availability, and perceived cost. Prospective families should consider touring to assess the physical layout and confirm current activity schedules and staffing levels, while keeping in mind the overwhelmingly positive testimonials about care quality and the family-oriented environment.
