    Warm caring staff, clean home

I moved my mom here and have been very pleased overall. It feels home-like, the staff are warm and treat residents like family, communication and medical/hospice support are strong, and the place is clean with roomy room options and plenty of activities. Meals are usually good and flexible but we had a few issues with taste/temperature. There are occasional staffing/turnover and management hiccups, but on balance I'm comfortable recommending this small, caring community.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews is generally positive but mixed, with a strong emphasis on the warmth of the community and the compassion of many staff members. Numerous reviewers describe a home-like atmosphere where staff treat residents like family, go above and beyond, and provide attentive, personalized care — including hospice support in some cases. Several comments praise the facility's cleanliness, easy layout, and well-maintained grounds. The community’s smaller size is repeatedly noted as a benefit: reviewers appreciate the personable scale, the ability of staff to connect with residents, and the sense that staff know residents individually.

Care quality and staff performance are among the most frequently mentioned topics. Many reviews highlight caring, patient, and professional nurses and caretakers; good communication with families; accommodating responses to medical and dementia-related needs; and staff who enjoy their work. Some reviewers specifically name staff members positively and emphasize that staff have "huge hearts." There are also multiple reports that nursing coverage is strong (one review explicitly noted a nurse on site all day and night). However, this theme is not unanimous: several reviews raise serious concerns about understaffing, high turnover, favoritism, and management problems. A minority of reviewers reported neglectful incidents (residents left in bed for hours, not washed, not fed) and described staff as lazy or inattentive. These conflicting reports point to variability in resident experiences that could be tied to staffing levels, shift differences, or management consistency.

Facilities and amenities receive consistent praise. Reviewers mention a large dining room, private family dining room, sitting room, activity room with a kitchenette, multiple outdoor seating areas, a beauty salon/barber shop, hot tub, and massage services. The facility’s layout and freedom of movement are appreciated, and many find apartments roomy and comfortable. Pricing and value are frequently described as reasonable, and the facility offers multiple room-size options. One reviewer did note a small studio with a small bathroom and no kitchen, so apartment configurations and sizes vary.

Dining and food quality show mixed feedback. Several visitors praise made-to-order breakfasts and report good lunches and dinners. The kitchen's flexibility (kitchen available anytime, meals adjusted to preferences) is a positive. Conversely, multiple reviewers reported poor-tasting or unappealing food, and at least one noted meals served cold. This inconsistency suggests that dining experiences may differ by meal, staff, or resident-specific accommodations.

Activities and engagement appear to be improving and available: reviewers list balance classes, workout classes, happy hour, and other activities, with an activity director mentioned by name as contributing to programming. Some residents were unable to participate due to illness, which is to be expected, but the general impression is that activities are present and expanding.

Management and operations show a split pattern. Several reviewers praise conscientious directors and staff who promptly resolve issues and accommodate needs. Others raise concerns about favoritism, low pay leading to turnover, and management shortcomings that contribute to sporadic neglect. Transportation to appointments was specifically called out as not provided, which may be a logistical limitation for some families.

In summary, Centennial Pointe Senior Living is frequently described as a warm, clean, and small community with many caring staff members and solid amenities. Strengths include compassionate caregivers, individualized medical attention including hospice, useful on-site services (salon, hot tub, massages), and an active atmosphere with expanding programming. The principal areas of concern are inconsistent dining quality, reports of understaffing or staff turnover that can lead to variable care experiences, and occasional serious allegations of neglect and management issues. Prospective residents and families should weigh the generally strong reports of compassion and cleanliness against the variability in staffing and dining, visit multiple times at different times of day (including meal service), and ask specific questions about staffing ratios, turnover, transportation options, and how complaints or incidents are handled to ensure the facility meets their expectations.

The community scores around 4.0 out of 8 reviews, which is respectable for a larger place, so people seem to appreciate the support and the activities, and the flexibility in care lets folks change what they need as life goes on.
