    Nice facility, inconsistent care, caution

I have a conflicted view. The building is attractive, very clean, comfortable rooms, upscale dining with great food, lots of activities, and strong therapy - many nurses were responsive and genuinely caring. But I also saw rude or uncaring staff, inconsistent rehab (my mom didn't get the therapy she needed), lost clothing, staffing shortages, hygiene/safety lapses (unclean areas, delayed oxygen help, a COVID outbreak that turned tragic) and family having to provide basic care. It's expensive and pleasant on the surface, but I'd caution anyone to watch staffing, safety, and rehab closely.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment about StoneBridge Health Campus is deeply mixed, with a strong division between reviewers who praise the facility's appearance, dining, therapy, and many staff members, and those who report serious lapses in care, cleanliness, and safety. The most consistent positive themes are the facility’s physical environment and dining experience: reviewers repeatedly describe StoneBridge as attractive and upscale, with formal dining (white tablecloths, nice silverware), background music, multiple dining rooms, and meals that many called top-notch. Several accounts highlight pleasant communal activities (bingo, singing, movies), Friday happy hour with live music, a nice library for gatherings, and an energetic resident community. Comfortable, home-like resident rooms (studio and one-bedroom options, furnished or bring-your-own) and neat, tidy surroundings are also frequently mentioned as strengths.

Rehabilitation and therapy capabilities are another prominent positive thread: multiple reviewers credit StoneBridge with strong physical therapy and successful rehab outcomes, and therapy is often singled out as excellent. Many families and residents commend the nursing and caregiving teams for compassion and responsiveness, citing staff who treat residents like family, help residents gain weight, keep them active, and provide dignified end-of-life care. Transportation to appointments, varied activities, and a generally calm, friendly atmosphere round out the commonly cited advantages.

However, there are substantial and alarming negative reports that cannot be ignored. Several reviews describe serious neglect and safety issues — examples include families reporting they had to perform basic care tasks (like changing diapers), instances of unclean conditions such as feces in rooms or dirty restrooms, and even police involvement in at least one account. There are reports of a patient contracting COVID and subsequently dying, and multiple mentions of concerns about health and safety practices. Staffing-related problems appear repeatedly: staffing shortages are tied to service delays (notably delayed dining service or assistance), variability in staff competence or compassion across shifts, lost clothing, and instances where rehab staff did not provide expected effort. Some reviewers describe unhelpful or rude staff, and one review named a specific employee as problematic.

Patterns in the reviews point to inconsistency: many reviewers have strongly positive long-term experiences, praising staff, activities, food, and therapy, while others report acute failures in cleanliness, basic care, communication, and safety. This suggests variability across units, shifts, or time periods. Management and communication issues are referenced indirectly by reports of staff giving different accounts, insufficient information about activities, and unexpected extra charges (e.g., for transportation). The facility’s cost is also frequently noted as high; some feel the quality justifies it, while others feel services fell short of expectations for the price.

In summary, StoneBridge Health Campus offers many elements people seek in a senior care setting: an attractive, home-like environment, upscale dining, active programming, and strong rehabilitation services, with numerous testimonials of caring and compassionate staff. At the same time, reviewers report serious and troubling failures in care, cleanliness, infection control, staffing consistency, and communication. These negative reports range from service delays and lost items to allegations of neglect and safety incidents. Prospective residents and families should weigh the positive reports of environment, dining, activities, and therapy against the risk of inconsistent care and isolated but serious negative incidents. If considering StoneBridge, ask specific questions about staffing levels, infection control practices, incident reporting and resolution, laundering and personal belongings protocols, how activities are communicated, and any extra fees, and try to speak with current residents/families about recent experiences to assess consistency.
