    Loving staff, clean, somewhat expensive

I placed my dad at Lincolnshire Place and, overall, I'm very pleased - the nurses (especially Shelly) and caregiving staff are loving, attentive and compassionate, the memory-care focus is strong, the facility is clean, homelike and full of activities (music therapy, crafts, outdoor time) and staff kept us informed through COVID. It can be expensive, turnover and staffing levels are sometimes an issue, and it is not a skilled-nursing facility nor does it accept Medicare/Medicaid, so be clear about needs up front. Despite that, my dad settled in, made friends, and I would recommend it - I'd even bring my family here.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the review summaries is predominantly positive, with repeated emphasis on high-quality, compassionate caregiving and a well-maintained, homelike environment tailored for memory care. Many reviewers single out the nursing team and specific staff members for exceptional care, noting that nurses are kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. The director is frequently described as responsive and supportive, especially during move-in and transition periods. Multiple mentions of individualized, family-focused care, as well as involvement from hospice, music therapy, and pastoral services, reinforce the facility's orientation toward holistic support for residents and families.

Staff quality and culture emerge as strong themes. Reviewers commonly describe staff as caring, compassionate, and encouraging of resident engagement. Several comments indicate that employees enjoy working there and feel that owners care about residents, suggesting positive staff morale among many team members. This positive staff climate appears to contribute to residents settling in, making friends, and maintaining dignity and appearance, with reports that residents are kept clean and dressed nicely. Some families also highlighted proactive communication practices, for example daily updates during the COVID period, which increased trust and reassurance.

Facilities, amenities, and programming receive consistent praise. The building is described as clean, updated, and well maintained, with an appealing layout and outdoor courtyard garden. Specific amenities such as crafts, exercise classes, outdoor time, and a movie theater are mentioned, and several reviewers complimented the food. These offerings support an engaged resident community and align with a memory care focus that emphasizes safe, meaningful activities. Multiple reviewers noted that their relatives felt comfortable and happy in the setting, and some stated they would recommend the community or even move a family member there themselves.

However, there are recurring concerns that prospective residents and families should weigh carefully. Staffing levels are flagged by some reviewers as insufficient, and at least one review felt the activity schedule was lacking, which contrasts with other reviewers who praised the programming. A significant pattern of mixed feedback surrounds administration: while some praise the director and administrator as responsive and excellent, others describe the administration as poor and point to high staff turnover. These opposite impressions indicate variability in management experiences over time or between different parts of the staff. Several reviewers also emphasize that Lincolnshire Place is a memory care / assisted living setting rather than a skilled nursing facility; it does not accept Medicare/Medicaid and may not provide the level of medical care needed for residents with advanced clinical needs. Cost is described as high by some families, and there are reported incidents of multiple falls in a resident with late-stage dementia—though reviewers also said the community implemented safety measures in response.

In summary, Lincolnshire Place is presented most consistently as a well-kept, compassionate memory care community with many strengths in caregiving, amenities, and resident engagement. Its major advantages are attentive nursing and caregiving staff, a clean and pleasant physical environment, thoughtful programming (including therapeutic options), and owners/staff who often demonstrate commitment to residents. The main caveats are administrative inconsistencies, concerns about staffing levels and turnover, the absence of skilled nursing services and Medicaid/Medicare acceptance, and cost. Prospective families should verify current staffing ratios, turnover statistics, specifics about medical and skilled nursing capabilities, insurance and payment policies, and fall-prevention practices during their visit. Clarifying expectations about the level of care provided and asking for concrete examples of staff continuity and safety protocols will help determine whether this memory care community is the right fit for a given resident.
