    Bright campus, compassionate staff, caution

I've mostly had a positive experience - the campus is bright, clean and welcoming, and the staff are compassionate, friendly and responsive; therapy, activities and family communication gave my loved one quality of life and peace of mind. That said, there are occasional care lapses (staffing/medication/security issues), inconsistent food, and high cost, so I recommend it with close oversight and clear questions before moving in.

    About Cedar Creek Health Campus

Cedar Creek Health Campus sits on S Burr Street in Lowell, Indiana, and folks around say the place feels friendly, maybe because there's a steady run of local events and a small-town sense you notice as soon as you walk in, and they've got life enrichment programs, walking paths, a resident garden, and you'll probably spot pets since they're allowed, too. Right now, they're not taking new residents, and most of the staff speak English, and while you won't find a list of office hours or staff language details, you can count on their team for experience and dedication, especially since Cedar Creek houses different living options-independent living, assisted living, memory care like their Legacy Lane neighborhood for those with memory issues, adult day services, and skilled nursing, which means folks needing more care like wound management, insulin therapy, diabetic care, and skilled services with LVN present all the time and a registered nurse for part of each day, and they help with things like catheter care, oxygen, stroke rehab, and incontinence, plus colostomy and ileostomy support for those who need it.

Residents have choices for private or semi-private suites with full bathrooms and walk-in showers, there's a 24-hour emergency call system, and those needing help with daily tasks like dressing or grooming can get it, and you'll find medication reminders, meal reminders, and general counseling as they try to keep everyone supported. The dining room serves chef-prepared meals, and if a resident wants something different, staff tries to work with them, and between daily meals, over 100 events each month, exercise classes, wellness programs, daily housekeeping, laundry, and help with things like mail and transportation, you won't see many dull moments-there are game rooms, a beauty salon, and a steady effort to make everyone's day run smoothly, plus Wi-Fi and high-speed internet for staying in touch or entertained.

Memory care in the Legacy Lane area tries to meet each person where they're at, and it's got specialized programs, a secured neighborhood, and advanced features meant for those living with Alzheimer's or dementia, and reminders for meals and programs are part of daily life, with mobility assistance given as needed, and their care plans change if a resident's needs change. There's coordination with healthcare providers for physical, occupational, speech, and respiratory therapy, and they also handle things like medication management, wound care, and fall risk services, and for those just needing a break or a safe place during the day, the adult day services bring folks together for activities and social time. The campus has parking for residents, pet-friendly rooms, and encourages real connection, saying folks are treated like family, and though there's not a long list of amenities spelled out, the basics are there, including help for non-ambulatory residents, diabetic care, and everyday housekeeping.

Cedar Creek belongs to Trilogy Health Services, and they've got a library of resources if someone wants to get ready for a move, learn about caregiving, watch their "Time to Get Ready" film, or try planning tools and glossaries aimed to make the process clearer, and staff are recognized for their hard work each day. Even if info on some amenities or schedules isn't easy to find, people say the campus stays active with monthly social and cultural happenings and keeps the focus on safety with CPR-trained staff and basic utilities covered, and there's always a sense of wanting to make folks feel at home during their stay.
