    Truly five star care recommended

I stayed long-term at Mason's and received truly 5-star care - CNAs, nurses and social worker Jamie were fantastic, therapy and rehab after my stroke treated me like family, and staff were friendly and accommodating. Meals and meds were timely, housekeeping kept rooms and hallways spotless and odor-free, and management was honest even if a bit hard to reach. I highly recommend this well-maintained facility.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews is strongly positive, with multiple reviewers describing Mason Health Care Center as a high-quality, well-run facility that delivers compassionate care. Praise is consistent for frontline caregivers — CNAs, nurses, and rehab staff are repeatedly singled out for excellence. Several reviewers used superlatives such as "5 star care center," "awesome staff," and "high quality care," and many explicitly recommended the facility. Residents and family members reported tangible outcomes like successful stroke rehab and timely, attentive clinical care.

Staff and clinical care are clear strengths. CNAs and nurses are repeatedly praised for their competence and kindness; reviewers report that staff treat residents like family and answer questions thoroughly. Administrative support staff also receive favorable mentions: a helpful HR coordinator and a highly regarded social worker named Jamie were specifically noted for being responsive and supportive. Timeliness of clinical actions — including prompt treatments and medication administration — was highlighted, giving the impression of reliable day-to-day medical management.

Rehabilitation and therapy are prominent themes with mostly positive feedback. Several reviewers called the rehab program "awesome" and described satisfying outcomes from rehab after stroke. However, there is a recurring, smaller note that the therapy department could be "better" or shows inconsistency. This suggests that while many patients experience strong rehab services, some see room for improvement in either staffing, scheduling, therapy intensity, or consistency of care plans.

Facility upkeep, cleanliness, and dining receive strong marks. Multiple reviewers praised clean hallways, well-maintained rooms, and excellent housekeeping; one reviewer explicitly mentioned the absence of urine odor, which is a concrete indicator of good environmental hygiene. Dining was described as "good food," and reviewers noted that meals were timely. Overall, the physical environment and support services appear to contribute positively to residents' comfort and satisfaction.

Management and accessibility present a mixed picture. On the positive side, reviewers described management as honest and identified helpful administrative staff, but there is a consistent comment that management is "not easily accessible." That tension suggests that while leadership and administrative personnel are perceived as honest and professional when encountered, there may be barriers to reaching decision-makers quickly or easily — something that could affect families seeking rapid answers or escalation pathways.

In summary, the dominant themes are strong, compassionate frontline care; a clean, well-maintained facility; generally excellent rehab experiences; timely clinical and dietary services; and positive, personalized interactions with specific administrative staff. The main areas for attention are improving access to management and addressing variability in the therapy department so that high-quality rehab results are more consistently experienced by all residents. Given the volume of positive comments and specific staff praise, Mason Health Care Center appears to be a highly recommended option for both short-term rehab and longer-term stays, with only a few identifiable operational issues to address.
