    Clean homelike facility excellent care

I'm very satisfied - my grandpa is clean, well-groomed, and clearly well cared for in a clean, homelike facility with great food, activities, and pet-friendly visits. The staff are friendly, caring, and efficient (easy check-in/insurance help), nurses provide high-quality care, and the team is collaborative - I highly recommend them.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment: Reviews for Medilodge of Green View are overwhelmingly positive. Multiple reviewers emphasize the facility's strong clinical care, compassionate staff, and clean, homelike environment. The dominant impression across the summaries is a high level of satisfaction from both families and residents, with recurring praise for the nursing team, day-to-day caregivers, and the overall responsiveness and friendliness of staff.

Care quality and staff: The reviews consistently highlight strong nursing care and a resident-focused approach. Staff are described as wonderful, caring, passionate, knowledgeable, and expedient. Several comments specifically note that nurses seem to care about patients' needs, residents are well cared for, and patients are groomed and dressed nicely—details that point to attentive daily care practices. Teamwork and staff collaboration are repeatedly mentioned, indicating coordinated care and a staff culture oriented toward residents. One reviewer specifically praised the administrator, Mike, which suggests visible and effective leadership.

Facilities, visiting, and atmosphere: The facility itself is described as clean, pleasant, homelike, and beautiful, creating a welcoming atmosphere for residents and visitors. Visitors find the environment comfortable, and the facility supports pet-friendly visits, which can be an important quality-of-life factor. Check-in and screening processes are noted as easy and smooth, and staff assistance with insurance and registration was highlighted by reviewers, reducing administrative burden for families.

Activities and dining: Reviewers report an active programming schedule with activities all day and a dedicated activity area. Positive remarks about residents enjoying visits and frequent smiling staff suggest engagement and social opportunities for residents. Dining receives specific commendation as "excellent food," which complements the positive remarks about general care and daily life.

Communication and responsiveness: Multiple reviews note that staff answer questions and greet visitors with smiles, illustrating strong communication and a friendly demeanor. The combination of knowledgeable staff and easy administrative processes (check-in, screening, insurance assistance) contributes to a smooth experience for families and new residents.

Notable patterns and minor concerns: There are virtually no consistent negative comments in the provided summaries; the most common 'con' is the absence of complaints. A small number of phrases (for example, "pretty good care") are more muted than the majority of praise and could indicate occasional variability in individual experiences. However, based on the available summaries, no specific recurring operational, clinical, or environmental problems were reported.

Conclusion: Medilodge of Green View appears to deliver high-quality, resident-centered care with a strong emphasis on cleanliness, a welcoming environment, robust activities, good food, and efficient administrative support. The staff and leadership receive repeated praise for professionalism, compassion, and teamwork, and families report positive visit experiences. While there is limited indication of minor variability in individual perceptions, the overall pattern across reviews is strongly favorable and supportive of recommending the facility.

    About Medilodge of Green View

Medilodge of Green View sits in a tranquil spot with woodland views and looks out over the Alpena Golf Club, which can bring a calming feeling if you like peaceful settings, and you'll find that the place is set up for both long-term skilled nursing care and short-term rehabilitation for people who need extra help to heal or get back on their feet, and with private beds, a big outdoor deck with a gazebo, an atrium full of birds and aquariums, and inviting living rooms with fireplaces and bookshelves, you can spend time in comfort and gather with family or other residents even if you prefer a quiet afternoon with a good book or want to watch television. The building also has country kitchens for activities, residential dining rooms, and a multi-purpose room for events or visits, and the staff tries to keep everyone engaged by offering various activities-including intergenerational events and partnerships with local senior centers, plus an active Resident and Family Council that lets folks have a say in daily life around the facility. The facility is run by Blossom Healthcare Management LLC since 2018 and is part of the Medilodge group, which operates several locations across Michigan. There's a focus on restoring health, improving daily living, and helping people be as independent as possible, all with a full set of skilled nursing and rehab services, including medication management, therapy with professionals like Scott, and specialized features for Alzheimer's care that come from the latest research in the field. The nurse turnover rate matches the state average, though the nurse hours per resident per day are actually higher than state standards, which may mean you see staff a bit more often than in some places, and the staff tends to be described as caring, dedicated, and organized, working as a team in a community-focused environment. Their facility can hold up to 56 residents, and they're certified for Medicare and Medicaid. Still, it's fair to point out that recent state inspection reports have documented a total of 12 deficiencies, including citations for respecting resident choice, infection control, and accident hazards, with infection-related issues noted in the August 7, 2024 report, so families may want to ask about steps being taken to fix these problems. The facility says it's committed to ethical conduct, following healthcare laws, and creating a supportive, compassionate, and safe environment, and they also support comfort and well-being with nutritious meals, engaging daily activities, and therapy programs. You can set up a FaceTime chat with a resident or arrange a tour if you'd like to see the atmosphere or meet the staff yourself. Medilodge of Green View offers specialized care features, amenities like a large outdoor deck, a volunteer program, and scheduled intergenerational activities to help residents stay active and social, all aimed at supporting comfort, recovery, and daily living.
