    About Blissfield Place

Blissfield Place is a nonprofit assisted living community run by Baruch Senior Ministries, so the focus stays on the residents and their families rather than making a profit, and many people appreciate that the staff's won awards for being helpful, joyful, and kind, which gives the place a friendly feel. The community has 20 private rooms, each with its own bathroom, and the hallways are broad with handrails for safety, and there are roomy areas for socializing, gathering, or just relaxing on the couches in the sunroom, especially nice for watching the sunset in the evening. There's an in-house salon for hair and makeup, a dining room for meals, a garden, walking paths, spaces for activities, and rooms set up to meet the needs of people with different levels of independence, from those still taking care of themselves to those who need more help. Residents get three nutritious meals every day, snacks, and diets can be adjusted to special needs, and staff takes care of meal prep, house cleaning, laundry, and maintenance, so folks don't have to fuss over chores. The community provides 24-hour supervision and a call system in every room, which means residents can reach staff quickly if they need help, no matter the time. On top of this, there's a big effort to make sure the care is personal and respectful, with support for daily activities like bathing, dressing, eating, grooming, and moving around, plus medication reminders and assistance with transfers if needed. There's a schedule packed with social and recreational activities, both on-site and offsite, movie nights, arts and crafts, and devotional and religious services every Sunday for those who want spiritual care, all of it designed to help residents feel at home, keep up with old friends, or make new ones. Home care services are available too, with aides visiting people who still live at home and need companionship or some non-medical help, and respite care is offered when families need a break or there's a short-term stay required. The community also offers memory care for people with Alzheimer's and dementia, focusing on preventing confusion and wandering, end-of-life care for those who'd rather stay in the same place, and non-ambulatory care for people who need more support getting around. Everything is managed by steady caregivers who respect residents' dignity and make sure folks get help with things like medication, bathing, grooming, toileting, eating, and moving safely, and extra time is spent with residents who don't want to join activities, so no one feels left out. There's an income-based program, the Lifetime Promise to help families with financial concerns, a newsletter to keep everyone informed, plus support and coordination with outside health agencies when needed, and for veterans, VA Aid Assistance is available. English-speaking staff are there Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm, and the place accepts insurance, so many people will find it easier to arrange care. Throughout everything, Blissfield Place works hard to feel like a real home where people can stay active, safe, and connected as they age, while still honoring faith and community values.
