About Anchored Heart Senior Living Center

Anchored Heart Senior Living Center sits on 10 quiet acres in Goodrich, Michigan, and serves up to six residents at a time in a custom-designed, all-inclusive adult small group home. The place feels like family, with a team led by Joe and Jamie Davis, both registered nurses with over 42 years of experience between them, who aim to keep each resident dignified, respected, and safe in a caring, Christian-based atmosphere. There's always a registered nurse on call 24/7, and the caregiver-to-resident ratio stays at 1:6, which means everyone gets more personal attention, whether it's help with bathing, dressing, exercises, or managing medications. The home offers private bedrooms, shared living areas, wheelchair accessibility, and zero transition flooring for safer movement. There's cable TV, phone, internet, and regular meals cooked at home with snacks and meal planning adapted to residents' needs, plus laundry and housekeeping. Residents can join plenty of activities, including music and pet therapy, arts and crafts, games, Bible study, church services, card games, outdoor walks on the grounds, cookouts, and holiday events. There's a mentoring program for folks interested in nursing who want to learn from experienced registered nurses. Visiting nurse practitioners, hospice care, and partnerships with local services cover changing healthcare needs. Beautician and manicurist visits, a resident monitoring and call system, and a security alarm round out the care, and staff handle appointment scheduling, too. Volunteers often visit to help with activities, and there's time for gardening, storytelling, singing, knitting, and friendly conversation. Payment comes from long-term care insurance, private pay, or VA, and residents need to be age 65 or older. The peaceful country setting lets people enjoy fresh air and views of nature and wildlife. There's no fuss or pressure here-just a family-style senior care home focused on encouragement, compassion, and a safe haven for seniors who want a place where staff and residents look out for one another.
