    Warm Christian home, attentive staff

I feel right at home here - a warm, Christian, family-like place with friendly, attentive staff who provide 24/7 one-on-one, safe care. The manager is amazing; home-cooked meals, meds, grooming, bathing and Hoyer-lift transfers are handled reliably. The beautiful property (sheep and chickens), living rooms with TV and piano, dining/kitchen and many programs - art, music, dog therapy, Children Helping Seniors and body/mind activities - make life stimulating, though memory-care residents could use more activities. Most rooms are doubles (private rooms available). It isn't free and fees can be higher than expected/advertising unclear, but staff are incredible - I would recommend it.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews is strongly positive, with the most consistent and emphatic praise directed at the staff and the quality of personal care. Multiple reviewers highlight attentive, compassionate caregivers who provide 24/7 support and one-on-one attention. Practical daily-care services are described as reliable: medication administration is on time, and staff assist with grooming, toileting, bathing, and transfers — with equipment such as a Hoyer lift available when needed. The atmosphere is repeatedly characterized as home-like and family-oriented, and reviewers report feeling safe and well looked-after.

Facilities and environment are described favorably. The property is noted as attractive and somewhat unique (sheep and chickens mentioned), and common living spaces include TVs and a piano that contribute to a homely feel. Dining areas and an onsite kitchen are present; many reviews praise home-cooked meals and note recent improvements in meal quality and portion size. Cleanliness and a friendly managerial presence are additional positives cited by multiple reviewers.

Programming and activities generate mixed—but generally positive—feedback. Several reviews describe a wide variety of offerings including art and music programs, dog-therapy visits, community events (Children Helping Seniors), and body-and-mind wellness programs. These comments indicate an active engagement calendar and therapeutic focus for residents, including memory-support activities for those with Alzheimer’s. However, a number of other reviews indicate that activities can be limited and that more programming is needed. This suggests variability over time or differences in individual expectations; prospective residents and families should ask for a current sample activity calendar and inquire about the frequency and variety of programs relevant to their loved one.

Accommodations and resident mix: reviewers note that private rooms do exist but that most accommodations are double occupancy. This is an important practical detail for families to confirm depending on privacy needs. The facility appears to serve residents with dementia/Alzheimer’s and provides a safe, Christian-oriented environment where residents can exercise choice, according to several accounts.

Cost and transparency are the main areas of concern. While some reviewers describe the facility as “pretty affordable,” others report feeling misled about pricing or cite omitted details in initial communications. A few explicitly call out expensive fees or misleading advertising. The pattern is that pricing and what is included may vary or be communicated inconsistently; prospective families should request a clear, written fee schedule, ask which services are included (meals, medication administration, ADL assistance, lifts), and confirm any additional or conditional charges before committing.

In summary, the dominant themes are strong, compassionate 24/7 care, a warm home-like environment, reliable clinical supports (meds, ADL assistance, Hoyer lift), improved and home-cooked meals, and a range of social and therapeutic activities. Counterbalancing these positives are practical issues to clarify: the predominance of double rooms, mixed reports on the sufficiency of activities, and inconsistent impressions about cost and advertising transparency. Overall recommendation from the reviews would be positive for families prioritizing attentive staff and a family atmosphere, with the caveat to verify rooming options, current activity schedules, and a detailed breakdown of fees before moving forward.
