    About Woodland Acres AFC

Woodland Acres AFC is a family-run adult family home that's been caring for people for over seven years, bringing more than two decades of experience to the job, and it's got space for up to six residents, which means folks get plenty of attention from caregivers. The home is wheelchair accessible, and the staff provides help for seniors, people with physical disabilities, people with developmental disabilities, and folks living with Alzheimer's, so they've seen all kinds of needs and know how to help. Residents get three home-cooked meals a day, including vegetarian and kosher options for those who need them, and staff can adjust meals for allergies and diabetic diets. There's a pharmacy on-site, and visiting nurses, doctors, therapists, and even a hairdresser stop by, so residents can keep up their health without needing to go out. Medication management and help with daily living-like bathing, dressing, moving around, and incontinence care-are all available, and there's 24-hour supervision for anyone who needs extra support. The house has rooms that residents can decorate with their own things, and there are both indoor and outdoor spaces, like a garden and walking paths, so folks can get some fresh air or sit by the window if weather isn't good. For recreation, the home runs social events, movie nights, devotional activities on site and offsite, and has a community room where folks can visit together. All-day dining, laundry, housekeeping, and dry cleaning are handled by the staff. There's an emergency alert system throughout the house for safety, and people can get hospice or respite care when it's needed. Transportation comes at extra cost, but parking's available if family visits. Woodland Acres AFC is licensed locally and surveyed by the state, with everything inspected regularly. This place doesn't take Medicare, unless it gets certified by the right agency, but it's a close-knit place that tries to keep things as supportive as possible, fostering friendships between residents and staff and making the transition easier for people who need long-term help in a quieter setting.
