    Home-like clean safe caring staff

I placed my parent here and have been very pleased - the place feels home-like, clean and safe, staff are kind and responsive (Andrea helped with settling in and med changes; Rhonda handles transportation), and the aides go above and beyond. Meals, activities, pets and a family-like atmosphere help my parent thrive; rooms are spacious and wheelchair-accessible, and the team keeps us updated and supportive.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression: Crownpointe Senior Living Comm elicits a mixed but mostly positive response from families and residents, with particular strength in staff engagement, affordability, and a home-like atmosphere. Many reviewers emphasize the facility’s compassionate caregivers, responsiveness of management, and active efforts to keep families informed. Physical accessibility and room size are highlighted positively by several families, and the community is generally described as clean and well-maintained in common areas.

Care and staff: The facility’s caregiving staff receive consistent praise for kindness, attentiveness, and willingness to assist beyond basic expectations. Specific staff members were named for helping with move-in and medication adjustments, and reviewers frequently note good communication and updates to family members. These strengths suggest a staff culture focused on resident dignity and independence. However, there are notable concerns about clinical-incident follow-up and the adequacy of supervision in the memory-care/Alzheimer’s unit; prospective families should ask for details about staffing ratios, supervision protocols, and how incidents are communicated and documented.

Dining and nutrition: Dining impressions are mixed. Some families commend the food—especially holiday meals—and note vegetarian options and accessible meal choices. Others raise concerns about small portion sizes, a limited menu that leans heavily on certain proteins, and blandness. Operational issues such as uncleared tables after meals were also mentioned, indicating inconsistent dining-service execution. Prospective residents should inquire about menu cycles, portion standards, accommodations for dietary preferences, and daily dining-service procedures.

Activities and community life: The community is frequently described as home-like and family-oriented, with active programming and transportation assistance for outings. Pet-friendly policies, a fish tank, and visible social activities contribute to a homelike atmosphere that many families appreciate. Reviewers note aides and transportation staff who go beyond expectations, which supports social engagement and practical mobility options for residents.

Facilities and environment: The building itself is characterized as up-to-date, clean, and accessible, with wide doorways and wheelchair-friendly design in many units. At the same time, several reviewers identify unit-level layout constraints—small apartments with counter-style eating areas and insufficient space for a dining table. There are also sanitation and animal-management concerns tied to indoor birds and pet areas; these comments indicate a need for clearer pest-control and pet-maintenance procedures to ensure consistent cleanliness in shared spaces.

Management and operational patterns: Many reviewers praise management responsiveness and note that early problems were addressed. Transportation and affordability are recurring positives. Conversely, operational disorganization during meal service and housekeeping has been described, suggesting variability in daily service consistency. Of additional concern are mentions of regulatory attention (a DHS filing) and family concerns following a resident’s death; these are serious matters that warrant direct inquiry with administration and review of any public records or inspection reports before making placement decisions.

Recommendation for prospective families: Crownpointe shows clear strengths in staff compassion, accessibility, social programming, and affordability, which make it an attractive option for many families. At the same time, prospective residents should perform targeted due diligence: ask about memory-care staffing levels and supervision protocols, review recent survey or DHS records, tour specific apartment layouts to confirm usable dining space, inquire about pest-control and pet-area maintenance policies, and request sample menus and portion guidelines. Those steps will help determine whether the facility’s operational practices and environment match a particular resident’s clinical and lifestyle needs.

    About Crownpointe Senior Living Comm

Crownpointe Senior Living Comm sits at 4232 Red Arrow Hwy, Stevensville, MI 49127, and has served the area since May 2000. The community offers maintenance-free apartments including studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom units, each with kitchenettes and private bathrooms with showers, so residents can choose what fits them best, and there's always something for folks who want just a bit of extra space or a more cozy setting. Residents get three nutritious meals each day served restaurant-style in a large dining room, and snacks are always on hand if wanted. Laundry, housekeeping, and linen services come every week, and the staff help with bathing, dressing, and other daily needs, which can be a big relief as things get harder to manage alone. The community has round-the-clock staff on site, an Emergency Response System, smoke alarms, sprinklers, secure building access at night, and plenty of security features that make families worry less.

Social and educational activities happen each day-folks join community events, crafts, and outings, so it's easy to meet neighbors and stay busy, and there's cable TV too if you prefer quiet time in a private space. There are pet-friendly policies for those who don't want to give up animal companionship. The grounds have patios, sunrooms, common living areas, a chapel, and a beauty salon so you can take care of yourself and visit with friends. The Crownpointe brand reaches other cities in Indiana and Michigan, like Anderson, Greenfield, Hartford City, Indianapolis, Lebanon, and Portland-kind of gives the place a sense of established routine, as they've done this awhile.

In the medical department, Crownpointe works with Lakeland Health Enhancement and offers phlebotomy services, so things like blood draws and check-ups happen on site and the staff keep in touch with doctors when needed. Medication comes pre-packaged from the pharmacy, and delivery keeps refills easy. Home care services by trained aides give companionship and some non-medical help for those who want to stay home but need a hand, plus there are short-term or respite stay options when families or caregivers need a break or are away. Crownpointe offers services for independent seniors, assisted living for those who want support with daily life, and memory care for folks with Alzheimer's or other dementia types-those programs are set up to help reduce confusion and keep people safe from wandering.

Residents can use amenities like the beauty salon and different common rooms, and the community schedules different health enhancement programs too. You'll find activities planned out so there's always something to do without much trouble-plenty of social opportunities for folks no matter what they like. Apartment fees are all-inclusive monthly, with meals, staffing, emergency systems, and other comforts included. The community accepts private pay and Veterans Pay, making costs a little easier for some folks. Crownpointe Senior Living Comm gives choices for both independent, assisted, and residential care home living, and focuses on keeping life safe, convenient, and filled with opportunities to socialize or relax.
