    Welcoming compassionate care in village

I moved my loved one from a corporate facility to this cute, home-like place in a quiet village and I'm so grateful. The staff-especially Rhonda and Becky-were welcoming, compassionate, and incredibly attentive, staying by her side during her final days so she felt safe and comfortable. Attentive care, a peaceful country atmosphere, and lower cost than our previous place-I'd use them again and highly recommend it.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews is strongly positive. Reviewers repeatedly emphasize compassionate, attentive caregiving and a welcoming, home-like feel at Stanford Lodge Sunfield. Multiple comments highlight that residents and families felt safe and comfortable, and reviewers specifically note staff staying by a resident's side during their final days, indicating strong end-of-life support. The facility is strongly recommended by reviewers, who describe the staff as professional, very attentive, and thankful for the care provided.

Staff and care quality are the clearest strengths in these summaries. Phrases that recur include "compassionate staff," "amazing staff," and "very attentive," and at least two staff members (Rhonda and Becky) are called out by name for thanks, suggesting consistent, personable relationships between staff and families. Reviewers describe staff as both professional and family-oriented, and some explicitly say they would use the facility again — a strong indicator of satisfaction. The examples given (staying with a resident through final days, being welcoming immediately on arrival) point to hands-on, emotionally supportive care as a defining characteristic.

The facility's atmosphere and setting are other commonly praised elements. Reviewers repeatedly describe a quiet, country setting and a small village or small-town vibe, using terms like "cute facility," "home-like," and "comfortable environment." Several reviews contrast Stanford Lodge Sunfield favorably with a prior corporate facility, noting that Sunfield feels less institutional and more personal. Cost is also mentioned as a positive: reviewers reported lower costs compared to the prior facility they left, which can be an important factor for families balancing quality and affordability.

What is not present in these reviews is discussion of certain operational details. There are no specific mentions of dining quality, menus, or nutrition services, nor are there descriptions of activities programming, therapies, or specialized medical services. Reviewers also do not report any significant negatives about cleanliness, safety incidents, or management responsiveness at Sunfield — in fact, cleanliness and attentiveness are cited as improvements relative to a previous corporate facility. Because the reviews focus heavily on staffing, atmosphere, and cost, prospective families should note the absence of commentary on food, formal activities, or clinical services if those are priorities.

In summary, the aggregated reviews paint Stanford Lodge Sunfield as a small, home-like community with a quiet, country setting and a staff that families find compassionate, present, and professional. The recurring themes are personalized attention, emotional support (including during end-of-life care), and a non-corporate, small-town atmosphere that many reviewers prefer over larger facilities. No consistent complaints appear in these summaries, though reviewers do not provide information about dining or activity offerings. For families seeking affordable, attentive, and home-like care in a rural or small-town setting, the reviews indicate Stanford Lodge Sunfield is highly recommended; for a complete picture, interested parties should follow up with the community about dining, activities, clinical services, and any specific care needs not addressed in these summaries.

They offer free community care information, and a senior living advisor's available to help families make decisions. Stanford Lodge Sunfield holds consultation hours early in the morning to the evening on weekdays, and shorter hours on weekends. Residents can get involved online, as well as in person, and there's even a Facebook presence if families or seniors want to stay connected that way. The gardens, dining options, and social activities can help people feel part of a community, while the staff tries to tailor care to individual needs.
