    Excellent rehab, mixed safety concerns

I chose Tiffany Square and overall I have no regrets - the staff are welcoming, personable and skilled, the building is clean and easy to navigate, rehab was outstanding (special thanks to Courtney, the PT), my mom improved and returned home, and my family and I approve and would recommend it. That said, I witnessed worrying issues: belongings, meds and equipment left behind, a bucket on the floor, forced use of Hoyer lifts on toilets, safety hazards like low cupboards, favoritism and sometimes deceptive or insincere staff behavior, and what felt like wealth-based neglect for some residents. High-quality care and supportive staff overall, but management needs to address honesty, safety and equity - it's great care but pricey.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment: Reviews of Tiffany Square are mixed but lean positive overall. A substantial number of reviewers express strong appreciation for the direct care and rehabilitation services provided: staff are described as supportive, personable, skilled, and welcoming. Several family members report significant clinical improvement in their loved ones, successful rehab outcomes, and eventual return home. Multiple comments singled out the physical therapy team, with one named therapist (Courtney) receiving praise for being jovial and effective. Many reviewers explicitly state they would recommend Tiffany Square, feel fortunate about the placement, and have no regrets about choosing the community.

Care quality and rehabilitation: The most consistent positive theme is the quality of clinical care and rehab support. Reviewers repeatedly note that skilled staff delivered measurable improvements in residents' conditions and facilitated successful discharges back to home. Terms like "outstanding care," "skilled care," and "high quality staff" recur, indicating that nursing, therapy, and day-to-day caregiving meet or exceed many families' expectations. The facility's layout, cleanliness, and ease of access are also noted as supporting a positive care environment.

Staff culture and communication: Reviews show a clear split in perceptions of staff culture. On the positive side, staff are often described as welcoming, available to extended family, pleasant, and compassionate — contributing to strong family satisfaction and gratitude. On the negative side, a number of reviews allege problematic behaviors: favoritism toward certain employees, deceptive or insincere friendliness, and false promises. There are also claims that staff have lied about whether agency personnel were involved. Some reviewers say they were not given both sides of stories, suggesting inconsistent communication or a lack of transparent incident reporting. These conflicting reports point to variability in staff conduct and managerial oversight — some families experience excellent, communicative caregiving while others report distrust and inequitable treatment.

Safety, dignity, and physical environment concerns: While the facility is described as clean and well laid out by many, several serious safety and dignity issues are reported. Specific concerns include forced use of Hoyer lifts on toilets (which raises both dignity and safety questions), insufficient availability of commodes, and an environmental hazard where residents risk hitting their heads on cupboards. These are concrete, actionable safety complaints rather than vague dissatisfaction, and they contrast sharply with the positive reports of clinical skill. The juxtaposition suggests that while clinical outcomes can be strong, some day-to-day practices and environmental details may need attention to ensure resident safety and comfort.

Operational and discharge issues: Multiple reviews mention belongings, medications, and equipment being left behind after discharge, with at least one report noting a bucket left on the ground. These operational lapses — forgotten personal items, meds, and medical equipment — are recurring and can significantly affect family trust and the resident experience at transition points. Combined with allegations of wealth-based neglect (where some residents are perceived to receive less attention based on means), these reports indicate inconsistent operational processes and possible inequities in how residents are cared for or prioritized.

Costs, restrictions, and overall impression: Pricing is mentioned as high by some reviewers, and a few note COVID-related restrictions as a negative factor (though reviewers did not uniformly criticize the facility's pandemic policies). Despite the cost and restrictions, the stronger and more numerous themes are positive: families grateful for rehab results, staff who made a meaningful difference, and an environment many describe as a blessing or "God send." However, the negatives are not trivial — allegations of dishonesty, favoritism, safety lapses, and discarded belongings are serious enough to warrant attention from management.

Conclusion and patterns: In summary, Tiffany Square appears to provide strong clinical and rehabilitative care for many residents, with a core of staff who are compassionate and effective. That said, there are notable and recurring operational, cultural, and safety concerns reported by other families. The pattern is one of high variability: some families experience exemplary, communicative, and empathetic care, while others report systemic problems including communication breakdowns, inequitable treatment, and lapses in safety and discharge procedures. Prospective residents and families should weigh the facility's demonstrated clinical strengths and positive testimonials against the specific reported issues — especially around safety practices, end-of-stay item management, and transparency of staff communications — and consider discussing these topics directly with management before placement.

    About Tiffany Square

Tiffany Square sits at 3119 W Faidley Ave in Grand Island, Nebraska, and offers a wide range of services for seniors, whether someone needs short-term rehab after a hospital stay, 24-hour skilled nursing for health conditions, help with daily life in assisted living, or wants to live more independently without the hassles of a big home, and there's memory care especially for those with Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia, where they keep an eye on things to help prevent confusion or wandering. The care team has a reputation for being kind, joyful, and helpful, so people coming here tend to feel welcome, get help when they need it, and find the staff easy to talk with about big or small concerns, which makes the building feel like a friendly place. There's rehabilitation and therapy for those who need to recover after surgery, an illness, or injury, with therapy services in physical, speech, and occupational areas available to both inpatients and folks coming in just for outpatient care, and programs are set up so someone can build strength and confidence at their own pace, whether that's short-term or long-term. The activity programs run often and get people together for social events, games, exercise, chapel and religious gatherings, and activities meant to keep minds sharp, so there's always something to do for those who want to be involved. Tiffany Square has both assisted living and independent living options, which means residents can pick how much support they want, with help for things like bathing, getting dressed, or keeping track of medicine always close by if they're needed. Someone can choose private, deluxe, or companion rooms, all with oak cabinets and furnishings, a telephone, cable TV, and a nurse call system-semiprivate and private rooms give choices for those wanting more space or company, and families can visit for a photo tour if they're curious about the details and setups. The kitchen staff serves meals focused on nutrition and taste, using quality ingredients, so dining is a highlight for many, and dining rooms are designed to be comfortable places to gather. There's also transportation, emotional support, and services like dental, podiatry, lab, and X-rays, so residents get a good range of care without leaving the building, and the community has been licensed by the Nebraska Department of Health, plus carries Medicare certification. Home care options allow trained aides to help seniors who still live at home, providing company and non-medical support. Tiffany Square holds a 103-bed capacity and has both short-term recovery programs-like for those needing therapy after joint replacement or an acute illness-and long-term stays, including hospice care and restorative services, so families and residents can have peace of mind while staying comfortable. The building is run by Vetter Senior Living, which operates other facilities too, and Tiffany Square has received many recognitions and awards over the years for service and for being a good place to work, reflecting a family-oriented, warm, and steady approach to care. Modern amenities like wireless internet in common areas and nurse call systems in every room, along with healthy meals and regular activities, try to make daily life easier and more enjoyable, and the focus is always on matching services to what each person needs, whatever their situation.
