    Very happy resident, excellent food

I moved in recently and I'm very happy - the staff are amazingly helpful, knowledgeable and genuinely caring, and the facility is clean, bright and welcoming. My apartment is the right size, the dining room is large and restaurant-like with excellent food, I feel safe, and it's dog-friendly. I've made many new friends and there are numerous social opportunities, though activities and some care services are just adequate and it is fairly expensive. Overall I love my new home and would highly recommend it.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews is strongly positive, with the most consistent praise directed at the staff, the physical facility, dining, and the social environment. Multiple reviewers call the staff "amazing," "best," or "genuinely caring," and emphasize that employees are knowledgeable, helpful, and attentive. This strong staffing theme appears to be a primary driver of resident and family satisfaction: many reviewers explicitly state they would recommend the community, that they or their loved ones "love" their new home, and that staff made the move-in and ongoing experience pleasant.

The facility itself receives frequent compliments: reviewers describe it as new, clean, beautiful, and modern. The dining areas are singled out as large and restaurant-like, and the food is repeatedly called excellent; several reviewers report enjoying meals with friends. Apartments are generally described as a good size or spacious, and at least one reviewer noted their apartment is the "right size." The community is also described as safe, dog-friendly, and having a welcoming, inviting atmosphere. Location is mentioned positively in at least one summary.

Social life and activities are another recurring positive theme: many reviewers highlight a friendly resident population, numerous social opportunities, and that they have "made many new friends." The community seems to foster a social environment for many residents, contributing to overall happiness and frequent family recommendations. Reviewers often pair comments about social life with praise for staff who facilitate engagement and create a welcoming environment.

However, there are consistent caveats and mixed impressions to consider. A number of reviewers note limitations around activities — phrased variously as "not much for residents to do" or activities being "ok." While many residents experience an active social scene, this is not universal: at least one reviewer said they were "not fitting in socially." That suggests variability in how well activities match individual preferences or how easy it is for every resident to connect.

Care services receive mixed but generally moderate remarks. Several reviewers describe care as "ok" rather than exemplary; this indicates that while staffing friendliness and helpfulness are strong points, the depth or consistency of clinical or personal care services may not stand out to all residents or families. Cost is another clear concern: multiple summaries reference the community as "expensive." Physical layout issues are minor but repeated: a reviewer mentioned smaller rooms and others noted long hallways, which could affect mobility or convenience for some residents.

In summary, Broadwell Senior Living appears to excel in staffing quality, the condition and look of the facility, dining experience, safety, and creating a social atmosphere for many residents. These strengths make it a strongly recommended option for families prioritizing a modern, clean environment with excellent staff and good communal dining and social opportunities. Prospective residents who are budget-conscious, require more intensive or specialized care, prefer a greater variety or intensity of activities, or who worry about personal social fit should probe these areas during a visit: ask about specific activity calendars, opportunities for one-on-one engagement, scope and responsiveness of care services, unit size options, and whether the community can accommodate individual socialization needs. Doing so will help determine whether the community's generally high ratings align with a particular resident's priorities and expectations.
