    Understaffed neglectful unsafe run-down facility

I lived here and it was awful. Staff neglected residents, the home is severely understaffed (often one person overnight), emergencies were delayed or left unattended, doors weren't locked at night and staff were distracted by phones. My clothes and money went missing, meds were late or given without proper consent, I was even transferred out without family permission; management ignored complaints and staff bullied residents. The facility is run-down, food terrible, not pet-friendly - zero stars.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment: The reviews present a strongly negative overall impression of Liberty House. While a small number of reviewers note welcoming staff, the dominant themes are serious concerns about care quality, safety, security, facility condition, and management. Multiple reviewers use emphatic language (for example “deplorable” and “zero stars”) and allege severe failures affecting residents’ wellbeing.

Care quality and medication: Reviewers consistently report neglect and poor clinical oversight. Specific allegations include medications being given without resident or family consent, residents being sedated with Prozac (allegedly without consent), medications administered late or not given at all, and late doses being refused. These reports point to both medication management failures and potential inappropriate use of psychotropic medication. There are also reports of abrupt, unauthorized transfers (one reviewer alleges a resident was transferred to a homeless shelter without family permission), which reviewers cite as evidence of extremely poor care coordination and respect for residents’ rights.

Staffing, supervision, and emergency response: A recurring pattern is understaffing and inadequate supervision. Reviews describe single overnight staff coverage and midnight weekend shifts that reportedly leave residents unattended. Reviewers allege long delays when emergencies occur and, in at least one report, an inability to call emergency services. Additional concerns include staff distraction (workers reportedly frequently on phones) and delays in medication administration, which combine to create a picture of compromised day-to-day care and unsafe staffing practices.

Safety, security, and privacy: Serious security and privacy issues are raised repeatedly. Reviewers allege theft of clothing and money from residents, unauthorized entry into private changing areas using a master key, and doors that are left unlocked at night. These claims reflect both property-security problems and breaches of residents’ privacy and dignity. The combination of theft allegations, unlocked doors, and unauthorized access suggests systemic security shortcomings rather than isolated incidents in reviewers’ accounts.

Facilities, dining, and environment: The physical condition and living environment are described as run-down and very low quality. Reviewers report poor upkeep, low living conditions, and awful food. The facility is also described as not being pet-friendly. Overall descriptors such as “terrible place” and “worst assisted living location” appear in the reviews, indicating strong dissatisfaction with the physical environment and daily living amenities.

Management, culture, and staff behavior: Multiple reviewers single out management as part of the problem: “management failure,” “rude boss,” staff bullying, and ongoing internal drama are reported. These comments suggest a problematic workplace culture that reviewers believe affects resident care and staff conduct. Although some individual staff members are characterized as welcoming, the broader picture conveyed is one of poor leadership and unresolved operational issues.

Patterns and notable concerns: Key patterns across the reviews are understaffing (especially nights/weekends), medication mishandling (late doses, refusal of late meds, possible nonconsensual psychotropic use), safety and security failures (theft, unlocked doors, unauthorized master-key entry), and problematic management practices (bullying, failure to address concerns, alleged improper transfers). These themes recur in multiple reviews, reinforcing their significance rather than appearing as isolated complaints.

Summary assessment: Based solely on the supplied review summaries, Liberty House is reported by multiple reviewers to have substantial and systemic problems affecting resident safety, medication practices, staffing levels, security, facility upkeep, and leadership. While a few reviewers note welcoming staff, the predominant sentiment is that the facility is unsafe, mismanaged, and poorly maintained. The reviews collectively raise serious red flags about the quality of care and the protection of residents’ rights and property.
