    Friendly attentive staff excellent care

I'm very pleased with the care my mom gets here - friendly, attentive staff, excellent staffing, and I feel she's safe and well cared for. The facility is clean and well-maintained, meals are good, there are engaging activities (bingo, game nights, dog therapy, outings), onsite PT/OT and weekly Catholic services, and it's conveniently located near family - I highly recommend it.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the review summaries for Edgewood Mandan is strongly positive. Reviewers consistently highlight the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, repeatedly describing them as attentive and caring. Multiple summaries emphasize that residents receive good care — in several instances family members report satisfaction and that their loved ones are happy. Staffing levels and the quality of care are called out as excellent, and reviewers commonly say they would recommend the community.

The facility itself receives high marks for cleanliness and upkeep. Comments reference neat, tidy rooms and well-maintained grounds, and reviewers describe both the common areas and private rooms as clean and pleasant. The physical environment is presented as safe and comfortable, which supports the overall impression that residents are well cared for in a good living setting.

Edgewood Mandan's activity program is another clear strength. Reviewers list a wide range of social and recreational offerings — game nights, bingo, poker nights, coloring, live entertainment, dog therapy visits, and special events such as classic car shows. This mix suggests an active calendar geared toward social engagement and variety. In addition to social activities, the community provides therapeutic resources on site: reviewers specifically mention available physical and occupational therapy (PT/OT). Faith-based needs are also addressed with weekly Catholic services, which is likely important to residents who value organized worship opportunities.

Dining and practical considerations receive positive comments as well. Meals are described as good, and multiple reviewers note that they are satisfied with food service. Location is frequently mentioned as convenient for families, which is often a key factor in choosing a community. Some reviewers also note that presentations or tours are encouraged, indicating that management is open to showcasing the community to prospective residents and families.

There are few explicit negatives in the supplied summaries, but two small patterns appear. First, community outings are described as occurring pre-COVID, which implies that outings have been reduced or paused since the pandemic; prospective residents or families may want to confirm the current status of off-site activities. Second, reviewers note that residents bring their own items, which can be interpreted as a need for personalization but may also mean limited included furnishings or amenities — families should clarify what is provided vs. what must be supplied. Beyond these points, reviews contain no recurring complaints or significant concerns.

In summary, Edgewood Mandan is portrayed as a well-run, clean, and active senior community with warm staff, solid care, good dining, and a varied activities program supported by onsite therapy services and weekly religious services. It appears well suited for seniors who want engagement, reliable care, and proximity to family. Prospective residents should confirm current activity schedules (particularly off-site outings post-COVID) and ask about what personal items or furnishings are expected to be provided versus brought from home.
