    Spotless facility, compassionate trained staff

I placed my mom in this brand-new, spotless, spacious facility and couldn't be happier. The staff are kind, trained and treat residents like friends (Nurse Day is amazing); my mom is more animated with music therapy, therapy dogs and daily activities. Memory care is split into small, safe neighborhoods (14 per side), the location is convenient, COVID protocols are solid and they accept Medicaid - it's pricey but top-tier care. I give it 5/5 and highly recommend.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment: Reviews for The Village of St. Edward at Green are overwhelmingly positive, with multiple reviewers giving top marks and explicit recommendations. The dominant themes are a new, attractive facility, caring and personable staff, strong programming, and a safe, calm environment that gives families peace of mind. Several reviews call the facility "top tier" and highlight residents becoming more animated and happier after moving in.

Care quality and staff: The staff receives consistently strong praise across reviews — described as friendly, kind, trained, helpful, knowledgeable, and compassionate. A specific nurse (referred to as "Day") is singled out for exceptional care and compassion. Reviewers frequently note staff interactions as warm enough that staff are considered friends, which contributes to a sense of safety and comfort for residents and families. That said, there is at least one sharply negative review calling out poor care and describing the facility as the "worst facility to work," indicating a possible outlier or concern about staff experience/management that prospective families should probe further. Overall, however, on balance the reviews indicate reliable, attentive caregiving and good clinical oversight.

Facilities and memory care: The physical plant is repeatedly described as brand new, spacious, beautiful, clean, and well maintained. The location is described as convenient. Memory care is organized into smaller neighborhoods, explicitly noted as split into two sides with 14 residents per side, which suggests an emphasis on small-group, focused memory care. Reviewers also praised the facility's COVID containment measures, implying effective infection-control protocols during the pandemic.

Activities, therapy, and daily life: Programming receives strong endorsement — reviewers mention excellent activities, music therapy specifically, and the use of therapy dogs. These elements are credited with improving resident engagement and mood. The general tone from multiple summaries is that activities are engaging and contribute meaningfully to residents’ quality of life.

Access, cost, and administrative notes: The facility is reported to accept Medicaid, which is important for prospective residents evaluating payment options. At the same time, several reviews note that pricing is expensive, so cost is a clear consideration. While many reviewers say they would recommend the facility and express peace of mind, the presence of at least one strongly negative comment about care and the workplace suggests potential variability in experience; prospective families should confirm current staffing levels, turnover rates, and any recent administrative changes.

Notable patterns and recommendations for prospective families: The dominant pattern is highly positive — new facility, clean and attractive spaces, personable and capable staff, robust activities, and specialized memory care organized into small units. The most significant concerns from the reviews are cost and a single but strong negative report about care/workplace environment. Because reviews are not unanimous, it would be prudent for prospective residents and families to tour the community, meet direct-care staff and nursing leadership (including the nurse praised in reviews), ask about staff turnover and training, review recent inspection reports, and request specifics on pricing and what Medicaid coverage will include. Overall, based on the available summaries, The Village of St. Edward at Green presents as a high-quality, well-appointed community with strong programming and generally compassionate staff, tempered by higher cost and the need to clarify any isolated negative reports before making a decision.
