    Great independent living, poor assisted

I had a mixed experience. The community is beautiful, clean and social - cruise-ship atrium, spacious apartments, abundant activities, friendly day-to-day staff and strong therapy - and I'd recommend it for active, independent seniors. But their assisted living fell far short in my experience: meds missed or not observed, staff often not visible, slow call responses, safety lapses (doors propped open) and worrying neglect for memory-impaired residents. Food and dining were hit-or-miss, and pricing/fee transparency felt opaque and expensive. In short: great for independent living, not reliable for assisted care.

    About Seasons Courtyard

Seasons Courtyard sits among rolling hills and tall, old trees, so the setting stays quiet and peaceful, and inside, the building lets in plenty of sunlight with its four-wing design and many windows, and folks find it easy to move around inside, whether they're living in independent living, assisted living, memory care, or skilled nursing. Residents can stay for the long-term or short-term, especially after surgery or an illness, since the staff handles skilled nursing care, wound and IV treatments, medication management, and help for chronic issues, and nurses and care staff are always nearby at all hours. The therapy gym supports physical, speech, and occupational needs with care plans made for each person, and there's a special program called Brain Health University™ alongside other award-winning programs, so folks can join activities every day, like art, lectures, games, exercise, outings, and musical events. Meals come three times daily, made by the dining service team with fresh, seasonal food, and there are extra snacks and drinks throughout the day, and if anyone wants special diet help, like diabetic care or sliding scale insulin, the staff's trained to handle it.

Rooms offer privacy and comfort with individually controlled heat and air, full kitchens with dishwashers, patios, plenty of space, big closets, emergency response systems, and cable and utilities included, and there are both private rooms and larger apartments, so different living arrangements work. Folks who use wheelchairs have easy access to showers and tubs, and some apartments have their own small kitchens for independent living. Pets are welcome, and residents can use outdoor walking paths, visit the on-site greenhouse, garden, relax by the swimming pool or hot tub, or take part in social clubs and fitness classes. There's a beauty and barber shop, a library, a movie theater, and a spa, as well as devotional services for spiritual needs. Housekeeping, laundry, and building maintenance are managed by a dedicated staff, and personal care is handled with respect and privacy for those who need help with daily living or incontinence needs, and two-person assisted transfers are available for those who can't walk on their own.

Transport options include valet parking, resident parking, complimentary rides, or transportation at cost for medical appointments and shopping, and the building stays secure with controlled entry and emergency response systems, even for folks with mild dementia. Smoking's allowed only in certain private indoor spots, and the whole community works to keep things healthy and safe, with home care, hospice, and dental or podiatry services available as well. Seasons Courtyard allows people to choose from independent living, assisted living, memory care, nursing care, or rehabilitation, adjusting services as a person's needs change, and they take private pay, long-term care insurance, Medicare, and veterans benefits for payment. The place tries to give everyone peace of mind by handling meals, activities, care, and support all in one, with lots of common spaces indoors and outdoors for folks to spend time together in a friendly, comfortable environment that emphasizes dignity, safety, and a worry-free life.
