    Caring staff; clean, homey facility

I moved my mom here and we've been very pleased - the staff (April Murray especially) are kind, caring, and treated us like family. The facility is clean, beautifully decorated, homey, well-located, with spacious rooms, good food, and plenty of activities; communication and regular health updates are excellent. My only concern was some misrepresentation around memory care and a staffer being unavailable during our tour.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews is strongly positive, with consistent praise for the quality of care, the facility’s cleanliness, and the warmth and attentiveness of the staff. Multiple reviewers emphasize that the building and rooms are very clean, well organized, spacious, and attractively decorated. The atmosphere is described as homey and comfortable, and residents are treated with respect and personal attention — language ranges from "treated like family" to "treated like royalty," indicating high satisfaction with interpersonal care. Specific staff members (for example, April Murray) are singled out for being especially helpful, reinforcing a sense of strong, individualized staff-resident relationships.

Care quality and communication are recurring strengths. Reviewers note "great care," frequent updates from staff and doctors, and clear communication about visiting times and health status. Families feel informed and able to trust the facility with their loved ones. The front desk is often cited as reliably available, contributing to a sense of accessibility and responsiveness. While most comments about staff are glowing — describing them as kind, generous, and deeply caring — there are mentions that some staff are "in training," which suggests occasional variability in experience level. Still, the overall picture is of competent, compassionate caregiving.

Facilities and amenities receive uniformly positive comments. The community offers communal spaces such as a courtyard, front porch, and an onsite library that support socialization and outdoor time. Dining also scores well: reviewers reference three meals a day, snacks, and generally "good food." Rooms are described as clean and spacious, and the facility is noted for being beautifully decorated and well located. These environmental features appear to support resident comfort and family peace of mind.

Activity programming is another strong point. The facility provides a wide range of structured and social activities — exercise classes, movies, outings for lunch, strolls, cards, and bingo are specifically mentioned — and reviewers report that residents are active and engaged. This variety suggests an emphasis on physical, social, and recreational stimulation, which contributes to resident well-being.

There are a few notable concerns and inconsistencies to be aware of. The most significant negative point is an allegation of memory care misrepresentation; this should be explored further by prospective families to understand what was misrepresented, whether it was a misunderstanding, and whether management has addressed it. Another concern is occasional staffing gaps or training-related inexperience, and at least one report that staff were not available during a tour. These items point to potential variability in staffing levels or onboarding that could impact first impressions or service consistency. Finally, one reviewer raised a suitability concern about a move from a rural farm life to a city living environment — a reminder that cultural or lifestyle fit matters and should be discussed during tours and assessments.

In summary, the reviews paint Ohio Living Sarah Moore as a well-maintained, welcoming community with strong, compassionate staff, good communication, robust activities, and satisfying dining and living spaces. Most families felt their relatives were cared for with dignity and personal attention. Prospective residents and families should verify specifics around memory care representation, ask about staff training and staffing levels during different shifts, and discuss individual lifestyle preferences (for example rural vs. city environment) to ensure the community is the right fit. Overall, the predominant themes are cleanliness, excellent interpersonal care, active programming, and reliable family communication, tempered by a few operational and fit-related considerations worth clarifying in a visit or conversation with management.

Residents can join community programs like "Delaware Is…" with outings, gardening, and a big choice of life enrichment events. Meals are chef-prepared and can be made for many diets-kosher, gluten-free, vegan, and more-with room service and guest meals, or if folks want a snack, the bistro is open all day. There's a beauty parlor, barber shop, phone service, internet access, and each unit has basic cable, heating, air conditioning, refrigerators, and sinks, making things feel more like home. For those who need more care, there's skilled nursing, memory support for Alzheimer's or dementia, long-term care, and a rehabilitation team that works both in the Rehabilitation Suites and with outpatient therapy, all rated five stars by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

Personal care includes weekly housekeeping, laundry, reminders for daily tasks, and even transportation to doctor visits or outings, which takes the load off families, and private or semi-private rooms come with updated bathrooms, private closets, and extra space. The Member Benefits program and annual events, like the dinner, golf outing, Clay Classic, or business expo, keep residents and families engaged with the local community, and the on-site Board and Committees make sure the facility sticks with safety and quality goals. Altogether, Ohio Living Sarah Moore offers many ways for older adults to stay social, get support as health needs change, and keep up quality of life while feeling comfortable in a well-kept, secure setting with a touch of local history.
