    About Heritage at Walton Hills

Heritage at Walton Hills sits next to the Bedford Reservation of the Cleveland MetroParks, so there's plenty of greenery and walking paths, and the whole place is really just a cluster of ranch-style houses on two landscaped acres, all single-story for easy access, and you've got a screened-in porch and patio where folks can sit when the weather's nice, and there's outdoor gardens and walking paths for fresh air. Each house holds about 9 to 11 people, so neighbors get to know each other well, and every resident has a private room that can fit a single person or a couple, with private baths and easy wheelchair access, plus air conditioning, cable, and internet. There's a real kitchen, and a big open living area with smart TVs and a central fireplace, so common spaces feel home-like and comfortable, and meals are pretty flexible-three balanced meals a day, snacks, special diets, international foods, and even room service if someone wants, and guests can join too, which is nice for visits. Heritage at Walton Hills doesn't allow smoking indoors, and the staff believe strongly in treating every older adult with care and respect, valuing their stories and wisdom. The place provides memory care only, services and safety systems specifically designed for folks with memory loss-there are tools for wander safety like Wander Guard, and everything's set up to keep people secure but still let them have some independence. There's always staff around, trained in memory support, offering help with daily things like medication, housekeeping, laundry, errands, diabetic care, health needs, and even higher-level nursing if needed. You'll find plenty to do, with art and cooking classes, gardening, trivia games, music from the resident band, story times, happy hours, day trips and outings, barbecue nights, parties, a gardening club, stretching and chair yoga, religious activities, and computer area for internet or brain games, so people stay active and social, and friendships tend to build up here. Heritage at Walton Hills accepts cats and dogs, and each house has its own parking, Wi-Fi, and laundry service. The care here is all-inclusive, and staff help with VA benefits and payments can be made by credit card or check. The community also offers respite or short-term stays, hospice services, and personal care aides. With things like outings, free transportation for errands or appointments, and structured programs to keep up health and memory, things are set up to help each resident keep as much of their daily routines as possible, while getting all the support needed, so it feels more like home than a big nursing facility.
