    Compassionate care strong memory support

I moved my mom here and she's much happier - the staff are genuinely compassionate, responsive, and go above and beyond with hospice, therapy and respite support. The building is clean, stylish and well-designed (wide halls, lounges, courtyard) with a friendly concierge, lots of activities and generally good meals (though food quality has been uneven at times). Management has been prompt and communicative on many issues and pricing is comparable to peers, but it's private-pay only and some families report occasional staffing, communication, billing or cleanliness lapses. Overall I highly recommend this community for caring, attentive staff and strong memory/assisted care - just stay alert to occasional operational problems.

About The Avalon of Lewis Center

The Avalon of Lewis Center offers seniors private apartment-style living with walk-in showers, wide doorways for easy wheelchair use, and emergency pull cords in case someone needs help fast, and the place seems set up so residents can keep doing as much for themselves as possible. Staff members-trained and friendly-are on hand around the clock in case of emergencies, and they help with things like bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and moving about, but residents can still do things on their own if they can, which a lot of folks like since it keeps them more independent. Residents get housekeeping and linen service, help with laundry, and transportation to stores, medical appointments, and community spots, plus there's access to therapy services, a pharmacy, and wellness programs. People living there join in on plenty of activities, both social and recreational, with programs set up to encourage meeting new people and making friends, and there are both indoor and outdoor spots to enjoy, so if someone wants to sit outside or gather inside with friends or at devotional services, there's room for that too.

For folks who need a bit more support, The Avalon of Lewis Center has specialized care programs, memory care, and respite care for short stays-like after surgery or when someone needs just a little extra help for a while-and the Heartfelt Connections-A Memory Care™ program is there for people living with Alzheimer's or other dementias, with secure areas so residents don't wander off and care plans made for each person's needs. The staff seem dedicated and work to bring joy and purpose to daily life, so the days are filled with options for activity, socializing, and even personal pampering at the on-site beautician. Meals get good marks for nutrition and taste, and pets are allowed, so people can have their animals around if they want. With tailored living choices, social programs, safety features, and support for independent living, The Avalon of Lewis Center, managed by Life Care Services®, covers assisted living, memory care, and even independent or home care for those who need it, focusing on keeping life comfortable, active, and as independent as possible for every resident.
