    Warm attentive care, occasional issues

My mother stayed here and I was consistently impressed - the staff are amazing, genuinely caring, and treat residents like family. The campus is beautiful and clean, rooms are comfortable, meals are usually delicious family-style, therapy/rehab is strong, and activities and a respite program are excellent. Be aware there were occasional issues - short staffing, sometimes cold meals, and rare poor behavior/therapy episodes - but management was responsive. Overall I'd recommend this warm, attentive place for long-term care or short-term rehab.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment in the reviews for Springview Manor is strongly positive. The dominant themes are consistent praise for the staff, a warm family-like culture, and a clear rehabilitation focus that helps many residents regain strength and return home. Multiple reviewers singled out nurses, aides, therapists, and activities staff as compassionate, attentive, and personable; several named individual staff (for example, Michelle, Mary, Holly) for exceptional care. Families repeatedly described quick responses to questions, proactive communication during illnesses and hospital visits, and support during final days, with staff often going above and beyond.

Care quality and clinical services are often highlighted as strengths. Many reviewers reported excellent PT/OT and speech therapy, a rehab-centered program with a record of successful discharges and improved independence, and nursing teams that provided thorough, patient-centered care. Reviewers credited staff with personalized attention — knowing residents by name, attending promptly to needs, and creating individualized plans. The respite program was also noted as a valuable service that gave caregivers relief while providing high-quality short stays for residents.

Facilities, dining, and activities received frequent positive mention. The campus and resident rooms are described as beautifully decorated, clean, and home-like, with numerous family-friendly spaces such as a sun room, courtyard, and cheerful common areas. Dining is generally praised — three hot family-style meals with many options and even late-night snacks; multiple reviewers called the food delicious and the dining room pleasant. Activities are robust and varied: painting, games, themed weeks/months, photo booth events, and community participation. An active activities director and engaged staff foster social interaction and residents’ participation, contributing to improved mood and engagement for many residents.

Management responsiveness and organizational culture are viewed favorably by most reviewers. Multiple families noted that management addressed occasional concerns, that staff are helpful and informative, and that the facility fosters a warm, family-oriented atmosphere. The facility is repeatedly described as a hidden gem in the community, and several reviews state it is both a great place to live and to work.

Notable concerns are relatively infrequent but should not be overlooked. A small number of reviewers reported serious issues: allegations of poor therapy behavior, bullying, and even harm to patients — these are isolated but serious claims that contrast sharply with the overall positive feedback. Other concerns include occasional cold meals, reports of short staffing or reduced staff hours, and at least one reviewer who would not recommend the facility. Several reviewers mentioned that issues were raised but subsequently addressed, which suggests variability in experience and the potential for occasional lapses.

In summary, the reviews present Springview Manor as a facility with strong strengths in staff compassion, rehabilitation services, engaging activities, attractive and clean facilities, and good dining — all contributing to resident satisfaction and documented improvements in health and mood. However, prospective residents and families should balance these overwhelmingly positive reports with the small number of serious negative allegations and occasional operational concerns. When considering Springview Manor, ask about current therapy staffing and supervision, incident reporting and resolution practices, how food service maintains hot meals, and any recent changes in staffing hours. These targeted questions will help confirm that the generally excellent care and atmosphere described in most reviews align with your expectations and needs.
