For people living with Alzheimer's, dementia, or other memory loss, Oak Park Place Burlington offers specialized memory care communities designed with safety in mind, using routines and secure spaces that limit confusion and wandering, and a program called Frontier's Spark Lifestyle Program to keep days structured with familiar activities. All across the place, they try to keep a person-centered philosophy so each resident's preferences, routines, and abilities are taken seriously, and families work hand-in-hand with the care team to make these plans comfortable and meaningful. They have Memory Keepers program to help families and caregivers learn about dementia and coping strategies. Meals are cooked by chefs and meal planners who focus on balanced diets, with menus using fresh, local foods and lots of choices for special diets or comfort food. Amenities include a coffee shop, general store, library, entertainment venues, and a fitness room, plus organized activities for wellness like walking programs, religious services including Catholic Mass and Baptist prayer meditation, and on-site salon services for a fee. There is general transportation and guest parking, as well as housekeeping, laundry, and even linen service. Every resident has 24/7 access to a full-time community nurse or one on call. The activities department puts together a full schedule for social, mental, and physical engagement, and the place has won awards for its group activities. Pets are welcome, gardens are part of the campus, and the setting feels connected to the local character of Burlington, helping residents keep up with community events and hometown friends.
