    Warm, well-kept small senior community

I moved into Bell Tower Place and have been very happy - Valerie Freres and the staff were compassionate (they helped me through my husband's death), expedited my move-in, and made me feel welcome in this small, clean 40-unit community. The large, well-maintained 600 sq ft apartments, attentive maintenance, social activities, chapel/library, and transportation to shopping fit our needs, and the quiet country setting with trees and a pond is lovely. Neighbors are friendly and inclusive, staff are helpful and knowledgeable, though administration can feel rent-focused and communication is sometimes spotty. Overall, a warm, well-kept place I highly recommend.

About Bell Tower Place Senior Apartments

Bell Tower Place Senior Apartments sits in a quiet neighborhood about 2.7 miles outside of Greendale, Wisconsin, right in Franklin, and people usually say it's clean and peaceful, with scenic views of ponds and nice outdoor spaces with benches where you can watch the birds, smell the fresh air, and wave at your neighbors, and most folks find that the staff, like Valerie Freres, are kind and helpful, so you'll see some smiles in the halls and hear friendly greetings from other residents. The place offers one- and two-bedroom apartment homes for people aged 55 and older, and every unit has a full kitchen, one to one-and-a-half bathrooms, and spacious closets, plus ground-floor apartments are easy to reach for people who need that, and you can open the windows or step out on a patio or balcony if you have one in your unit, which makes things feel more like home, and since it's non-smoking everywhere, the air stays fresh whether you're inside or outside.

Residents can choose from independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and nursing home support if they ever need extra help, and the apartments have heat, water, and municipal services all included in the rent, with each apartment set up for individual climate control, so everyone sets their own heat or air conditioning just how they like, and cats are allowed, but dogs aren't. The community is for those 55 and older, with clear age and gender policies, and there are forty apartments in total, with assigned parking, heated underground parking, free WiFi, coin-operated laundry, library, chapel, fitness center, game and activities rooms, conference space, and an on-site salon for haircuts and such several times a week, making it easy to stay busy or just relax. People often gather for morning coffee, card games, potlucks, arts and crafts, and even enjoy live entertainment or devotional activities, and the activities program makes it easy for new people to meet neighbors and make friends or join in bigger celebrations during holidays, since the staff encourages social connections and tries to keep everyone engaged, while still making it easy for people who like their quiet or want to keep their independence.

Bell Tower Place reviews show high marks with an average 9 out of 10 rating and an A for the facility and grounds, so the community's considered the highest rated in Franklin, and folks say the grounds and building are well-maintained and attractive, with everything kept clean, and maintenance is on-call 24 hours a day to handle repairs. The apartments have kitchens with full appliances, window coverings, and most have decks or patios, plus safety features like emergency call systems, mail delivered inside the building, and secure, controlled access at the entrance. There's wheelchair accessible units and a van service is available for trips out to shop, do errands, or get to appointments, and the staff can help with medication management or extra personal care if you need it, and dining services are available, with catered meals and a dining room right on-site.

The community also takes long-term care insurance, allows residents to use personal care assistants, and helps with initial consultations, provides tours, and goes over move-in and billing policies, keeping things clear and simple. If you need resident parking, want a smoke-free place, prefer connecting with others but don't want to lose your independence, or simply want to settle down in a friendly, safe neighborhood with regular activities and peaceful surroundings, Bell Tower Place Senior Apartments offers an option where it's easy to feel at home and live comfortably in retirement.
