    Warm family-like care, highly recommended

My mom has lived here over two years and I'm very satisfied - the staff are amazing, warm and truly family-like. Meals are homemade and often excellent (chef-style) served in a small, homey dining room; the rural setting with a sunroom, gazebo and visiting animals is wonderful. She has a large, private room with full bath, big closet, microwave/TV/computer and it's always extremely clean; on-site salon, therapists, monthly podiatrist and transportation are big pluses. There are regular activities (bingo, Happy Hour, Farm Day), though programming has varied and occasional staffing/management shortages have affected food and events; despite that, residents are happy and I highly recommend it.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews is strongly positive, with the clearest and most frequent strengths centered on the quality of caregiving, cleanliness, and the home-like atmosphere. Multiple reviewers describe staff as warm, caring, and family-like; many emphasize that their loved ones are well cared for and that staff are skilled and helpful. The facility is repeatedly described as very clean — both common areas and individual rooms — and reviewers frequently mention that residents and visitors receive a warm welcome on arrival.

Dining is a major positive theme for many reviewers: numerous comments praise home-style, made-from-scratch meals prepared by a chef, variety in menus, holiday buffets, and healthy snacks. Several reviewers explicitly call the food excellent or the best, and mention pleasant dining spaces and the smell or appearance of fresh food. That said, there are a minority of reviews that report issues with food quality or note a cook shortage; these comments suggest that meal quality can be inconsistent or impacted by staffing shortages at times.

The physical facility and amenities are repeatedly praised as homey and comfortable. Reviewers mention sun rooms, a gazebo, rural surroundings with horses, turkeys, and birds — contributing to a peaceful, country-like setting. Room descriptions vary but often highlight large, clean private rooms with full bathrooms and big closets; some rooms are noted to include a microwave, TV, and computer. The community is small and intimate, which many reviewers find appealing, though a few note that some apartments are smaller and that the older resident population may not suit everyone’s preferences.

Activities and programming show mixed feedback. Several reviewers list active offerings such as bingo, Happy Hour, Farm Day with animals, and regular events (including family-oriented buffets for Mother’s and Father’s Day). Many residents appear to enjoy these activities, and some reviewers who initially had difficulty engaging a loved one noted eventual participation. Conversely, other reviewers describe limited or reduced activities — sometimes attributed to COVID — and mention difficulty keeping residents engaged. This suggests activity levels can vary by resident interest, staffing, or pandemic-related adjustments.

Health-related services and conveniences are positives: on-site therapists, monthly podiatrist visits, and transportation to medical appointments are all noted as available. Additional conveniences such as an on-site beauty salon and a spacious dining area contribute to the facility’s supportive environment. The community’s local reputation is described as strong, with several reviewers noting long-term stays (2+ years) and recommending the facility.

Concerns are relatively few but notable. A small subset of reviewers raised issues about management and staff prioritization, characterizing the management as problematic or saying residents were not always prioritized. These comments are less common than praise for staff, but they indicate occasional negative experiences at the administrative level. Alongside that, there are mixed reports about staffing levels (including cook shortages) and activity offerings, which could reflect variability over time or differences between individual experiences.

In summary, Living Tree Estates LLC is depicted predominantly as a small, clean, home-like senior living community with a warm, family-oriented staff and strong meal offerings. It appears to suit families seeking personalized, attentive care in a rural, peaceful setting with convenient on-site services. Prospective residents and families who prioritize active programming, larger modern apartments, or consistency in staffing/food should inquire specifically about current activity schedules, staff turnover, and kitchen staffing during a tour. Overall, the balance of reviews indicates high resident satisfaction and strong caregiving, with occasional operational or activity inconsistencies worth clarifying directly with the facility.

    About Living Tree Estates LLC

Living Tree Estates LLC sits on Greenville Drive in a quiet spot beside two churches and a farm, offering assisted living and memory care for older adults in Wisconsin with a close community feel; the place has 28 to 40 rooms, can house up to 47 residents, and focuses on making daily life active and social by offering things like movie nights, games, walking paths, a garden, arts room, barber and salon, and resident-led activities so folks can stay engaged and feel at home. Residents can get help with dressing, bathing, eating, mobility, and medication, and the staff support covers everything from organizing personal care and hygiene to handling cleaning, laundry, meals prepared from scratch, and meal plans for allergies and diabetes, keeping dining restaurant-style with three healthy meals and a snack every day. People with dementia have a secure area with specialized programs and dementia waivers available, and the place uses a strong resident-to-care team ratio as well as 24/7 staff, with nurses, licensed practical nurses, and even the owner-who's a registered nurse-on site almost always, giving more attention than what most places offer, since staff numbers are based on how much care residents need, not just how many live there. Residents' rooms come furnished with phones and emergency alert systems, and the building is set up for anyone using wheelchairs or needing extra help getting around. The community works to keep people independent but ready with support for physical disabilities, arthritis, and mobility challenges, and there are also short-term respite stays for recovery after illness or surgery. Financial support includes options like VA aid, insurance, all-inclusive rent, and help with home sales, while the activities calendar, menus, and personal care plans all adjust as needs change-supporting a comfortable daily life in a calm, attentive environment.
