Kenosha Place Senior Living has trained caregivers and licensed nurses on-site all the time, day and night, who help with daily needs like bathing and dressing. The community serves three meals every day, includes utilities with the apartments, and handles housekeeping and laundry, which makes life here simpler and more comfortable. Residents can pick from cozy studio or one-bedroom apartments and decorate them to feel like home. There's an inviting atmosphere inside with warm décor and pleasant landscaping that people seem to appreciate. Kenosha Place gives each resident a care assessment when they move in and then builds a care plan that matches their needs, interests, and background, so they get the right help while keeping their independence as much as they can. The staff supports folks with assisted living and memory care services-providing support for all stages of Alzheimer's and dementia-as well as respite care for those who need a short stay. They also offer on-site physical, speech, and occupational therapy, and residents have access to a social care platform and specialists who guide them through senior care programs and help them stay active. The facility holds regular activities every day like exercise classes, gardening, and outings, and the security measures and exclusive memory care wing help families feel some peace of mind. Residents can rely on a support team focused on social care, independence, and creating a daily routine that feels purposeful and pleasant.
Generally good care, watch safety
I like the bright, clean, homey building and many of the staff are cheerful, welcoming and efficient - a few people went above and beyond when we moved Mom in. On-site therapy, room-delivered meals, laundry and assistance with appointments are very helpful. Food is hit-or-miss (sometimes great, sometimes skipped or mismatched) and activities have been limited by COVID; staffing turnover shows but management is trying to improve. Communication has usually been good, though I've had unanswered questions and one or two appalling staff incidents that made me fear for safety - beware if your loved one can't speak for themselves. Rooms are small and you may need to bring furniture. Overall I'm mostly pleased and rate it about 4/5, but I'd advise visiting and asking specific safety and staffing questions.
