    Warm caring staff, homelike community

I chose this small, family-oriented community and have been very happy - the staff are warm, caring and attentive, management is responsive, and the personalized move-in support made the transition easy. The facility and apartments are clean, homelike and well-kept, the food is excellent (warm desserts, open kitchen, good portions), and residents seem well cared for. It's cozy and easy to get around with a genuine community feel and good value, though weekend activities are limited and a few rooms are on the small side; occasionally staff are hard to reach by phone. Overall I'm very satisfied and would highly recommend it.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews is strongly positive. Reviewers repeatedly highlight the compassionate, patient, and genuinely caring nature of the staff; many emphasize that employees treat residents like family and are attentive to individual needs. Management and move-in coordination receive favorable mention, including a named director (Tanya) and sales/executive staff described as thorough, patient, and informative. Several families said transitions were made easy and that staff provided personalized attention during the move-in process.

Care quality is frequently praised. Multiple reviewers noted effective medication management and proactive monitoring — for example, staff identified behavioral changes that resulted in an ER visit — and some reviews specifically call out good coordination with hospice and supportive care services. Overall care is described as excellent or very good, with staff perceived as knowledgeable and responsive. There are anecdotes of residents regaining strength and of family members feeling reassured by the level of attention provided.

The facility and physical environment receive consistent positive comments. Many reviewers describe North Point as clean, neat, and well‑kept, with a homelike and cozy atmosphere. The smaller, all‑on‑one‑level layout is seen as an advantage for ease of movement; patio access, pleasant views, and a warm central kitchen/open cooking area (where residents can see and smell meals being prepared) contribute to a welcoming environment. Room configurations are often private studio‑style units with en‑suite bathrooms; some reviews mention spacious rooms while others note room size varies and some units could use updating.

Dining is a standout strength. Reviewers repeatedly praise the in‑house chefs, homemade meals, generous portions, and warm desserts. The open kitchen and warm central dining area are highlighted as creating a comforting, family‑style meal experience. Several comments note that residents eat better here than at home, and that the dining staff and menu are appealing. Food quality and presentation appear to be a meaningful positive influence on residents’ satisfaction.

Social life and activities are generally good but show mixed depth. The community offers a range of daytime programming: bingo, field trips, guest speakers, and live music are commonly cited and appreciated. Reviewers like the smaller, more intimate setting which promotes early social interactions and new friendships. However, multiple reviewers wished for more activities overall and specifically noted limited or absent weekend programming. The smaller community size is a double‑edged sword: it fosters a close, family‑like environment but can limit the breadth and frequency of activities for some residents.

A few recurring concerns and operational issues appear in the reviews. Several reviewers reported occasional phone unavailability and at least one instance of an unattended entry bell or lack of greeting at arrival, which raised concerns about front‑desk responsiveness. There are also a few isolated accounts that raise questions about resident supervision or the appearance of public spaces (for example, mention of a sleeping resident in the foyer and wheelchair‑bound residents seen in common areas), suggesting that while care quality is generally good, supervision and public area management may occasionally lapse. Some rooms were described as small or in need of updating, so physical upgrades could improve perceptions for prospective residents who prefer larger or more modern units. Finally, a couple of reviewers indicated a mismatch between resident needs and the level of care provided (e.g., “more care than she needs”), which points to the importance of matching prospective residents to the community’s typical care profile.

In summary, the dominant themes are strong, person‑centered staff performance; high marks for cleanliness and a homelike environment; excellent dining with in‑house cooking; and a small, community feel that many families find reassuring. Areas to monitor or improve include expanding weekend and overall activity offerings, addressing sporadic front‑desk/phone responsiveness, refreshing smaller or dated rooms, and ensuring consistent supervision and presentation of common areas. For families seeking a clean, intimate, well‑staffed community with very good food and personalized move‑in support, North Point Senior Living appears to be a well‑regarded option according to these reviews.

    About North Point Senior Living

North Point Senior Living sits on the outskirts of Kenosha, Wisconsin, in a quiet country-like setting, and you'll find the place feels a lot like home, with a small, close-knit community where staff and residents know each other by name. The community offers both assisted living and memory care, plus some respite options if someone only needs short-term help. There's a focus on keeping life as independent as possible for residents, but help's always nearby with 24-hour staff and on-call nurses, and people can get help with things like grooming or managing medications when they need it. The care plans are tailored for each resident, whether they need daily care or just someone to check in, and folks dealing with memory loss get special attention meant to reduce stress while still giving them dignity and comfort. North Point doesn't require any buy-in fees and instead offers a month-to-month lease, which gives families a bit more flexibility if life changes.

The building is neat and kept clean, with amenities like private suites that fit a double bed and sitting area, private bathrooms, kitchenettes, and cable TV. The whole place is built to be wheelchair accessible, down to the showers, and residents can decorate their rooms with their own things to make it feel more comfortable. There are shared gathering spaces like a residents lounge, computer access, internet, beauty and barber services on site, plus laundry and housekeeping handled for you, so there's no need to worry about chores or maintenance. Everyone gets three meals served each day, with snacks in between, and there's always something to do-regular events, indoor and outdoor activities, religious services, and even trips into town when folks want a change of scenery. Staff encourages everyone to join in the social, educational, or entertainment activities, trying to keep minds and bodies active, and there's therapy coordination for people who need physical, occupational, or speech support.

Families report a warm, caring staff, and most say it feels almost like a family here, and though sometimes management isn't always quick to respond, people seem happy with the day-to-day care and the attention they get. The facility aims to support both those who need a little help and those needing memory care with compassion, focusing on a personalized touch so each resident finds their own rhythm. The place gets good marks with a 5.0 rating from recent reviews, and it offers extra resources for families who need more guidance with long-term care, insurance, or even finding the right type of services. North Point Senior Living is one of those quiet places where the days are peaceful and help is never far away, and the small size and comfortable surroundings seem to give it a homey feel that bigger facilities sometimes lack.
