    Small spotless community with activities

I'm very satisfied with this small, well-arranged community of about 24 residents. The facility is spotless and welcoming, rooms are spacious and nicely appointed, and I feel confident in the friendly, helpful staff. The activity calendar is full - daily exercise, social events, church services, salon, family-style dining and van transportation all make my experience very positive.

    Summary of reviews

Field of Dreams Assisted Living is described by reviewers predominantly as a small, clean, and welcoming assisted-living environment with a family-like atmosphere. The facility’s size (approximately two dozen residents) appears to support a close-knit setting, where common areas and resident rooms are noted as spacious and well arranged. Many comments convey confidence in the day-to-day cleanliness and the physical upkeep of the facility.

Care and staffing impressions are largely positive. Reviewers emphasize friendly, cooperative, and helpful staff who provide attentive support. That perception of competent caregiving is reflected in statements of confidence in care and satisfaction with staff interactions. There are no consistent operational complaints about staffing levels; rather, the tenor of feedback highlights respectful staff–resident interactions and a sense of responsiveness.

Dining and activities are recurring strengths. Family-style dining and a regular, full activities calendar are commonly mentioned, including daily exercise programs, a variety of social and recreational offerings, and on-site church services. The presence of an on-site salon and organized outings or transportation for medical appointments further contributes to a broad activity and service mix that supports resident engagement and routine medical access.

The physical facility and services are portrayed positively: clean common spaces, nicely arranged rooms, and convenient transportation for appointments. The small scale of the community is repeatedly noted as contributing to a welcoming, home-like environment where residents can participate in group activities and receive personalized attention.

A notable pattern in the feedback concerns management and leadership background. A few reviewers raised allegations about the owner’s criminal history and questioned the owner’s qualifications. These comments point to perceived weaknesses in transparency around management background and in procedures for vetting leadership or documenting qualifications. Closely related are concerns about safety oversight and care-quality monitoring; the language in reviews suggests that some families would like clearer communication and assurance about how leadership and clinical oversight are handled.

For prospective residents and families, the facility’s strong points appear to be its small, well-maintained environment, an active activity program, accessible transportation, and generally attentive staff. At the same time, interested parties should seek clarification from management about leadership credentials, background-check practices, regulatory compliance, and the facility’s protocols for care-quality monitoring and incident communication. Asking to review licensing records, inspection history, and how the home implements staff vetting and oversight would help address the management-related concerns that appear in some reviews.

About Field of Dreams Assisted Living

Field of Dreams Assisted Living sits at 505 Belitz Drive in Kiel, Wisconsin, in a quiet spot near churches, stores, and medical services, where seniors live in a home-like setting with twenty-four private rooms and a few double occupancy rooms like Rooms 1, 8, 9, and 20 for those who want to share. The building's got wide hallways and accessible features so folks with walkers, wheelchairs, or just a slower pace can get around without trouble, and every resident gets help with daily tasks like bathing, getting dressed, moving between rooms, and medicine, with a 24-hour call system in place for safety, plus on-site staff and a dedicated RN/Administrator looking after everyone day and night. Meals are all home-cooked right there with options for special diets like diabetes or allergies, and residents share their food around big tables in the dining room, where there's all-day dining and a restaurant-style setup, and sometimes they eat out on the patio or in garden areas that look out over the quiet countryside.

The facility's community-based, licensed as a Community Based Residential Facility, or CBRF, with regular state inspections in Wisconsin to keep everything safe and healthy, and there's a memory care program for folks who need extra help with confusion or mild dementia, with special activities and extra supervision. Residents with spiritual needs can join on-site religious services or join trips out to local churches in the van, which also takes people to doctor's appointments when needed.

Rooms come furnished and can be private or semi-private, with laundry and cleaning done by staff, and there's a beauty and barber salon right inside for haircuts and grooming. The building's got social areas like a library and arts room, walking paths outside, movie nights, and a big comfortable living room for gathering and visiting, and there are community-sponsored events, resident-run programs, and daily activities designed to keep everyone busy and connected, with the staff always happy to help people join in or just relax in the garden.

The staff makes care plans for each person, and families can use respite stays if they need a short break from caregiving at home, knowing their loved one will get help in a safe place. Field of Dreams focuses on comfort, support, and independence, with care types centered on assisted living and memory care, making it a steady, peaceful spot for seniors to live, rest, and enjoy their days with friends, home-cooked food, and the pretty Wisconsin scenery around them. Tours are easy to arrange at any time for those who want a closer look at life in this small, friendly senior community.
