    Immaculate facility, caring staff, expensive

I toured Aspire Senior Living and put my loved one there - the staff were consistently kind, professional and attentive, the brand-new building is immaculate with excellent dining and tons of amenities (pool, gym, salon, theater, frequent activities and outings), and move-in/COVID support was helpful. It's expensive and I noted occasional care/management inconsistencies and mixed reports about memory-care, so I recommend it overall for the facilities and caring team if you can afford it, but verify memory-care and staffing specifics for your situation.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews of Aspire Senior Living Kimberly is predominantly positive, with frequent praise for the staff, amenities, and the high-quality built environment. Many reviewers emphasize that the staff are kind, caring, professional, and go out of their way to help residents and families. Multiple accounts describe nursing and frontline employees as compassionate, knowledgeable, and responsive—helping residents settle in, arranging FaceTime during the pandemic, assisting with move-ins, and personalizing care. Families often note that residents appear happier, more social, and safer after moving in, and several reviewers explicitly say they would recommend Aspire to others.

The facility itself is repeatedly described as brand-new, modern, and luxury-oriented. Positive specifics include bright, hotel-like apartments with good layouts and temperature control (radiant heat mentioned), large windows and balconies, safe showers with grab bars, and specialty fixtures like jetted tubs. Common-area amenities are a major strength: an on-site pool, fitness room, theater/movie room, salon/beauty shop, therapy/rehab room, craft and art rooms, multiple dining and social venues, and extensive outdoor spaces with walking paths, gazebos, patios, and a fire pit. The campus feel, frequent entertainment (live weekly entertainment, concerts), and varied daily programming (games, exercise classes, classes, outings) are cited as key contributors to resident engagement and well-being.

Dining receives mixed but often favorable comments. Numerous reviewers applaud the culinary staff and describe meals as appealing and restaurant-style, highlighting homemade soups, salads, desserts, and attractive presentation. Several families called the food “first-class.” However, others found meals bland or unappetizing at times and reported occasional slow service. This split suggests that while the dining program is a selling point for many, experiences vary and can depend on timing, kitchen staffing, or service issues.

Care quality and the memory care continuum are areas with both strong endorsements and notable concerns. Many families praise the continuum of care—smooth transitions between levels, dependable medication management, and attentive caregiving. Memory-care residents are described in several reviews as thriving due to well-trained and patient staff, engaging programs, and a safe enclosed courtyard environment. Conversely, a smaller but consequential set of reviews report serious issues: failures to monitor health during COVID lockdowns, resulting in weight loss and decline; allegations of inadequate memory-care training and an environment that can be overbearing or insufficiently patient; and even reports of unclean conditions and odors in the memory-care unit. These divergent experiences highlight variability in care and underscore that outcomes may depend on timing, staffing, and individual unit leadership.

Management, operations, and communication show a similar pattern of contrast. Many reviewers compliment the leadership and front-desk teams (several staff members are named positively in the reviews), citing strong move-in coordination, responsive community relations, and staff who take family input seriously. Others report billing errors, unresponsiveness, and slow maintenance follow-up. Some families encountered difficulties reaching staff by phone or experienced tasks left incomplete until family intervention. Staffing level concerns appear in multiple reviews—some describe exhausted or short-handed teams—which could explain inconsistencies in responsiveness and service delivery during peak times or pandemic-related staffing pressures.

Cost and fit are recurring practical considerations. Multiple reviews describe Aspire Kimberly as a high-end, “fancy” or “most expensive” option with an upfront income requirement; many recommend it if the family can afford the price. The facility’s size and upscale ambiance were a positive for many but felt overwhelming or unwelcoming to some residents and visitors; a few reviewers described an affluent or even classist vibe. Accessibility concerns surfaced in at least one tour (heavy, fast-closing doors), which some families felt posed a safety or usability issue. Also, families should note the structure of included caregiving hours versus extra charges—reviews mention an initial block of caregiving without extra charge (referenced changes from 0–7 to 7–14 hours in one account), with reasonable extra fees beyond that and up to 28 hours of personal care assistance available.

Notable patterns and practical takeaways: reviewers overall are enthusiastic about the physical plant, activity programming, and the ability of many staff to create a warm, family-like atmosphere. However, there is a nontrivial minority of serious complaints around management responsiveness, inconsistent care (especially during COVID lockdowns), and memory care operations that prospective residents and families should investigate further. Because experiences vary markedly across reviewers, potential residents should schedule a tour (and, if possible, multiple visits at different times of day), meet direct-care staff and leadership, ask specific questions about staffing ratios, memory care training and oversight, infection-control practices, the dining program, maintenance turnaround times, and billing procedures. Confirm current policies on visitations, how health monitoring is handled in lockdowns, and the exact caregiving hours included in the base fee versus additional charges.

In summary, Aspire Senior Living Kimberly presents as a high-quality, amenity-rich community with many families extremely satisfied with the staff, activities, and environment. At the same time, variability in care experiences, occasional operational shortcomings, and the premium cost create legitimate reasons to perform detailed due diligence before moving a loved one in. When staffing and management are functioning well, the community appears to deliver excellent social, clinical, and lifestyle outcomes; when they are not, some families have experienced significant lapses. Prospective residents should weigh the facility’s impressive amenities and positive testimonials against the mixed reports on consistency, and use targeted questions on memory care, staffing, and billing to verify whether it is the right fit for their needs and budget.

    About Aspire Senior Living Kimberly

Aspire Senior Living Kimberly, found at 825 Cobblestone Lane in Kimberly, opened in 2017 and has 136 units for seniors age 55 and better, offering a mix of Independent Living, Assisted Living, Enhanced Assisted Living, and Memory Care options, so folks can stay as their needs change over time, and some people really appreciate being able to remain in their own apartments as their health needs change or if their memory fades because it saves a lot of trouble. The community sits in a quiet neighborhood close to parks, shops, and restaurants, so residents can still feel close to everyday life while getting the help they need. Apartments come in studios, one-bedrooms, and two-bedroom sizes and are set up with features like full kitchens or kitchenettes, private bathrooms with walk-in showers, in-floor radiant heat, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, big closets, and quality cabinets, which make it feel a bit more comfortable and safe, and some folks find the heated bathroom floors to be a nice touch in the winter especially.

Assisted Living and Enhanced Assisted Living both help with things like bathing, dressing, grooming, and medication management, while Enhanced Assisted Living is licensed as a CBRF and comes with a bigger staff team so people get more attention, and in that section, the team can help with mealtimes, reminders, and more hands-on care if someone needs it. Memory Care has its own staff for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's, offering secure and easy-to-navigate spaces, 24/7 support, and technology to help watch over health and safety, like fall detection and smart bathroom tools, and these apartments can be private and are sometimes furnished. Folks with pets are welcome because the place is pet-friendly, and everyone gets access to staff for quick help, along with emergency call systems and call pendants in case something goes wrong.

Meals are included, with cuisine using seasonal and nearby ingredients, and options for special diets, plus snacks and even homemade soups or breads, so meals feel less institutional and more like home, especially when the staff hosts holiday and themed dinners together. Weekly housekeeping, laundry, and on-site maintenance are part of the basic services, which can make daily living simpler or less stressful for folks who just can't or don't want to worry about chores. There are all sorts of activities thanks to a full-time activities director, and residents can join games, chair yoga, crafts, local trips, movie nights in a real theater, and social gatherings like Friday happy hour right on site. The amenities list is long, from a warm-water swimming pool for exercise or therapy to a pub, walking trails, a convenience store, salon, library, guest suites for visitors, and even a therapy room and gym so folks can stay healthy or recover after surgery or illness. There's a secured memory care unit, full CCRC setup for residents who need different care levels, and on-site nurse plus nursing aides any time of day or night.

Aspire Senior Living Kimberly stands out for being modern, clean, and safe, with easy-to-use technology that helps keep residents secure and in touch with staff, and for keeping the atmosphere friendly without being overwhelming. Seniors can move between levels of care as needed, enjoy good meals, join in events, and bring their pets with them. The campus is well-kept, has nice outdoor space, and the staff try to make folks feel comfortable there, so for people looking for a place to live as they age that lets them keep as much independence as they like with help close by, this facility gives a good balance.
