    About Silver View

Silver View is a medium-sized assisted living and memory care community with 23 licensed beds, though it's licensed to care for up to 20 seniors. The building has a simple exterior and an open floor plan inside. Residents get either private living spaces or bedrooms, some with kitchenettes, and all rooms come furnished with wheelchair accessible showers. The community's home-like setting has both indoor and outdoor common areas, including a large screen TV in the living area, a garden, walking paths, a library, a reading room, and a dining room with all-day restaurant-style dining. The community often offers onsite amenities, like a hot tub, sauna, wellness room, board games, art programs, and a barber or salon. Residents can get onsite beautician services and a mobile stylist or hairdresser visits as needed.

The staff provides three regular, homemade meals each day served by an onsite cook, with options for special diets like puree, mechanical soft, diabetes diets, and allergy accommodations, and they'll monitor each resident's diet if needed. Some residents may keep a cat, following the pet-friendly policy. Silver View offers assistance with all activities of daily living, like bathing, eating, grooming, toileting, dressing, and transferring-even for people who use wheelchairs or need non-ambulatory care. The team's trained to give medication, help with diabetic care, insulin injections, stand-by or full assistance for transfers, and care for bowel and bladder incontinence if the person can help manage it. Nurses and staff remain awake 24 hours a day, responding to emergencies at any time, and the community uses emergency alert systems and alarmed doors for extra safety.

Memory care at Silver View includes a secure area in its own building, with specialized staff trained in Alzheimer's and dementia care, and they use technology like bracelets with alarms to help prevent wandering or unsafe situations. The facility can take care of seniors who have behavior issues, wander, or act out, and even accepts those who are prone to physical aggression or other difficult behaviors. The staff includes nurses, and they bring in visiting podiatrists, physical, occupational, and speech therapists as needed.

There's a regular schedule of daily activities: art programs, music and animal therapy, board games, wellness plans, fitness schedules, movie nights, and community events in the evenings. The community supports socializing, movement, and outings at least once a week, along with devotional services both onsite and offsite. Residents can also take part in both community-sponsored and resident-run activities. Transportation's available for doctor appointments, errands, and spiritual offerings. Silver View supports aging in place, offering different levels of care as seniors' needs change. Both respite care and hospice services are available.

Silver View remains licensed by state or local agencies, such as the Department of Aging or Veteran's Services. The facility doesn't accept Medicare for care services unless you have certification from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. The main focus at Silver View is offering support for those who need help with daily activities while providing a safe, active, and comfortable environment for seniors with varying care needs.
