    About St Anne's

St. Anne's sits on the Salvatorian Campus in Milwaukee and covers several acres with outdoor parks, patios, a pond, pavilions, and gardens, which makes it a good place for people who like to be outside or watch birds in the aviary or fish swimming in the aquarium in one of their common rooms. The community has a long history, going back 135 years, and is run by the Sisters of the Divine Savior, which means care follows a traditional Catholic spirit, though people of all backgrounds are welcome and no one has to worry about moving out just because of their ability to pay, thanks to the Benevolent Care Fund. St. Anne's is not part of Elderwerks. It operates as a nonprofit and decisions happen locally by people like Janet Krahn, the CEO, and a team of directors and administrators that include Angela Turner, Char Adams, Angela Willms, Kathy LaFrance, Julie Hollenstein-Szollar, Nicole Carling, and Carmen Marin. St. Anne's provides assisted living, memory care with a dementia-centered focus, skilled nursing, short-term rehabilitation, and respite care, so people needing different kinds of help can stay here whether for a short or long time. There are 55 units across places like Jordan Hall and Tivoli Terrace, which have private apartments with their own bathrooms, French doors, large closets, lounges, and dining rooms that feel homelike. Memory care areas have comfortable seating and a friendly look. Residents in assisted living get two levels of care and nurses are on staff all day and night, offering medication help and healthcare in areas like physical, occupational, and speech therapy.

The community is built to be easy to get around, with wide, wheelchair-friendly entrances and a stylish but simple reception desk, and there's a country store and many laundry services for people who prefer routines. St. Anne's has several chapels with high wooden ceilings, stained glass, and altars for those who want spiritual support and a place to pray or meditate, and services happen in a Catholic way. Residents eat in dining rooms where meals are cooked by a chef and served restaurant-style, so there are choices, including special diets if needed. The grounds offer peaceful courtyards, a gazebo, rock gardens, and blooming trees, letting people enjoy a safe walk or a quiet moment outside, and there are game rooms, activity areas, dinettes, and spacious lounges where residents can meet for activities led by staff or visitors. They also have a player piano if someone likes music, beauticians and barbers on site, and easy access to doctors who visit, including specialists like podiatrists and geriatric psychiatrists. The nursing home and the connected assisted living facility hold more than 115 beds and let people receive care whatever their health or background, supporting independence and dignity as much as possible.
