    Good respite stay, staff concerns

I placed my mom for a two-week respite and overall was pleased: clean facility, nice layout, no odor, great food, welcoming and attentive staff, friendly atmosphere - residents seemed happy. One rude staff member (Amanda Vandrisse) and some uncaring interactions toward elderly were concerning, but nurse Carrie was compassionate; the place would be even better if she were in charge. Onboarding admin was helpful and my mom enjoyed her stay, so I'd recommend it.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the provided reviews is predominantly positive, with multiple reviewers praising the facility for cleanliness, a pleasant layout, good food, and a generally welcoming atmosphere. Several comments emphasize that residents appear happy and that the facility is a nice place both to live and to work. Practical positives repeated in the reviews include no noticeable facility odor, a convenient location near the shrine, and effective administrative onboarding that made transitions (such as respite stays) smooth for families.

Care quality appears mixed but leans toward positive. A consistent strength highlighted is the presence of at least one notably compassionate caregiver, nurse Carrie, who is mentioned specifically for her compassion. Multiple reviewers describe staff as attentive and welcoming, and one reviewer reported a positive two-week respite experience for their mother. These comments suggest the facility can and does provide attentive, comforting care in many instances, and that short-term stays are well supported.

However, there are important concerns raised that temper the otherwise favorable impressions. One reviewer reported a specific rude staff member by name (Amanda Vandrisse) and described a lack of respect and uncaring behavior toward elderly residents. These are serious allegations that point to either an isolated personnel issue or a potential inconsistency in staff training and culture. Another reviewer explicitly suggested the facility would improve if Carrie were in charge, which implies perceived unevenness in leadership or care quality across staff. The pattern in the reviews is therefore a generally good baseline of care and environment with notable exceptions in interpersonal treatment that merit attention.

Staff and management themes are similarly dual-sided. On the positive side, onboarding and administrative interactions are described as helpful and welcoming; the facility is called a great place to work by at least one reviewer, which can indicate good internal culture for many employees. On the negative side, the presence of a named rude staff member and comments about disrespectful or uncaring behavior indicate gaps in staff accountability, training, or supervision. Management would benefit from investigating the reported incidents, reinforcing expectations for resident respect, and ensuring consistent standards across all shifts and staff members.

Facilities and amenities receive uniformly favorable comments: cleanliness, layout, lack of odor, and dining are highlighted as strengths. These operational positives create a comfortable environment for residents and families and likely contribute to the repeated descriptions of a pleasant atmosphere. The success of a respite stay and the recommendation by reviewers further support the view that the facility functions well in day-to-day operations.

In summary, the dominant impression is that this senior living facility offers a clean, well-kept environment with good food, welcoming administrative processes, and several compassionate staff who deliver attentive care. At the same time, the reviews reveal at least one troubling interpersonal incident and broader concerns about inconsistent staff behavior and respect for residents. These inconsistencies are the primary downside amid otherwise strong operational and caregiving elements. If management addresses the reported disrespectful behavior, reinforces staff training on dignity and resident-centered care, and ensures consistent oversight, the facility’s generally positive attributes could be expected to become uniformly reliable.
