    Kind staff, comfortable, clean, recommended

I moved my mom to Willowpark Place and overall I'm glad we did. The staff and nurses are kind, attentive, and the on-call nurse is invaluable; residents are friendly and the community truly feels like home. The facility is beautiful, very clean and well-maintained, with nice, generally spacious rooms and suites; meals and activities (bingo, exercise, outings, transportation) are plentiful. We did run into some communication/billing hiccups and the activity director left during our stay, but my loved one is happy, and I would recommend Willowpark Place.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews is positive, with many reviewers praising the quality of care, the cleanliness and appearance of the facility, and the breadth of activities and services. The most consistent strengths noted are the caring, attentive staff and nursing presence — several reviews explicitly praise nurses and call the on-call nurse extremely valuable. Many reviewers emphasize that staff are responsive and accessible, that the team demonstrates pride in their work, and that there is a genuine, warm, home-like atmosphere that helps residents and families feel comfortable and grateful.

Care quality is frequently described as attentive and compassionate. Multiple summaries highlight staff who go 'above and beyond,' regular programming that keeps residents engaged, and nurses who are praised for their clinical attention. That said, there is some variability: while many reviews extol the staff, a few describe mixed experiences or uneven performance, suggesting inconsistency across shifts or individual caregivers. Activity staffing turnover (notably the activity director leaving during some stays) is raised as a specific concern that has impacted programming continuity for some residents.

The facility itself receives high marks for cleanliness, maintenance, and aesthetics. Reviewers describe the community as beautiful, well-kept, and festive during holidays; interiors and exteriors are noted as neat and attractive. Suite-style accommodations with small kitchens are a frequently mentioned positive, giving some residents a sense of independence and the ability to cook. Room size comments are mixed: several reviewers call rooms spacious and nice, while a smaller number describe rooms as small — this indicates variability in unit layouts that prospective residents should confirm in person.

Dining is another strong theme. Many reviewers say meals are very good, delicious, and well-made, with ample choices and residents never going hungry. Positive touches such as fresh-baked cookies and updated dining-room seating that encourages social interaction are repeatedly mentioned. However, a minority of reviews raise concerns about meal quality or the perceived value of dining and services, indicating that dining satisfaction may vary by individual taste or meal time.

Activities and social programming are highlighted as a core strength: frequent programming, exercise classes, bingo, and transportation to appointments and shopping contribute to an engaged community life. Reviewers frequently mention enjoyment of community activities and the opportunity to make new friends in dining and social spaces. The availability of a transportation van is cited as a practical benefit that supports residents' independence.

Management and operational issues are the primary sources of negative feedback. Several reviews note communication problems — between administration and staff, or between staff and families — and billing problems that generated frustration. There are isolated reports of outside therapy services not being disclosed, which raises transparency concerns for some families. These administrative or communication lapses contrast with the otherwise strong clinical and hospitality aspects, and they appear to be the main drivers of the 'fine but not exceptional' sentiment expressed by some reviewers.

In conclusion, LakeHouse New Holstein (Willowpark Place references in some reviews suggest shared branding or close relation) is generally perceived as a clean, attractive community with caring staff, good food, and a lively activities program that many residents and families appreciate and would recommend. Prospective residents should be encouraged by the strong caregiving culture and facility upkeep, but also should ask specific questions about room layouts, activity staffing continuity, billing practices, and disclosure of outside services during tours and contract discussions to address the few recurring concerns about communication, value, and variability in experience.

This is a pet-friendly community, so people can keep their pets with them, and everyone's encouraged to take part in a range of daily activities, from bingo, exercise classes, movie nights, sing-alongs, happy hour, arts and crafts, and devotional services, to organized outings like shopping trips or visits to local restaurants, so there are social programs to help people connect and have a good time. There's an on-site beauty salon for hair care, a cafe/bistro, a library, computer room, and a TV lounge, along with inviting common areas, indoor and outdoor patios with lots of comfy seating, and fireplaces in shared rooms that make things feel extra homey.

Specialized memory care helps people with Alzheimer's disease or dementia, focusing on safety and reducing confusion, and those needing skilled nursing can get on-site support too.

Nutritious, chef-prepared meals get served three times daily in a spacious dining room with soft lighting, fresh flowers, and wood-look floors, and people can enjoy either restaurant-style dining, vegetarian meals, or private dining rooms for a quieter meal with guests, and visiting family can have guest meals too. Housekeeping, laundry, and dry-cleaning services make daily life easier, and the staff takes care of the details so residents can enjoy social, educational, and recreational events. Residents and their families will find Wi-Fi and high-speed internet throughout the building, free cable satellite TV, and all spaces are wheelchair accessible, with grab bars and wide hallways for ease of movement.

LakeHouse New Holstein tries to provide comfortable, safe, and supportive living, with a sense of community and plenty of options for care right on the same campus, whether folks want to live independently, need some daily support, or require skilled nursing or memory care down the road.
