    Responsive staff safe welcoming community

I live here and have been very satisfied - when a water-heater leak turned into a midnight emergency, maintenance answered within hours (around 2 a.m.), were pleasant and patient, and the director oversaw thorough, professional remediation. Utilities, heating and quiet apartments are excellent, and housekeeping/maintenance are expert. There's a busy, welcoming activities program (pumpkin contest, craft fair, card club, monthly birthdays, weekly catered Wednesday lunch, Thanksgiving with the church), caring staff, and good value for the budget-minded. I feel safe and happy here and highly recommend it - I'll miss it.

    Summary review

Overall impression: The Centennial Senior Apartments are described predominantly positively across the reviews, with multiple residents praising the active social life, caring staff, and overall value. The majority of comments highlight a lively community atmosphere with frequent events and clubs, reliable maintenance staff, and a generally safe, quiet living environment. Several reviewers explicitly recommend the property and note satisfaction for themselves or family members.

Activities and dining: A strong recurring theme is the breadth of activities and social programming. Specific events mentioned include a Halloween pumpkin contest, a craft fair, monthly birthday celebrations, a card club, and a Thanksgiving dinner coordinated with a church. There is also a regular paid catered luncheon every Wednesday. Residents characterize the schedule as busy and engaging, and multiple notes emphasize that events are welcoming and that there is “lots to do,” contributing to residents feeling they will miss the community when they leave.

Staff and care quality: Many reviews praise the staff as caring, dedicated, friendly, and professional. Maintenance and housekeeping are singled out as expert and effective. A notable example is a water heater outage/leak that required overnight emergency work: reviewers report a rapid 2 a.m. response, a pleasant and patient maintenance team, and a director who oversaw thorough, professional remediation. Long-term residents specifically describe staff as dedicated and caring, reinforcing a perception of strong day-to-day support.

Facilities and utilities: Positive remarks include quiet rooms, ample amenities, and a sense of safety in apartments. At the same time, utilities are an area of concern for some reviewers: mentions of a water heater outage/leak, heating, and electric utilities indicate occasional infrastructure problems. In the emergency cited, the facility’s maintenance response was effective, but the presence of utility incidents warrants attention by prospective residents.

Management and notable concerns: While many comments emphasize professionalism and helpfulness, there are several strongly negative reports regarding office staff or management behavior. Specific complaints include rude or unprofessional office staff, staff yelling at residents, and one serious allegation of a manager providing no response and a resident being left outside. These negative accounts contrast sharply with the positive reports about maintenance and other staff, suggesting inconsistency in the quality of front-office interactions. The pattern indicates that although operational teams (maintenance, housekeeping, activity staff) are widely praised and effective, experiences with front-desk or managerial personnel may vary substantially between residents.

Overall synthesis: The dominant sentiment is favorable—residents appreciate the social programming, the staffed support, and the value for cost—while significant caveats center on inconsistent management/office behavior and occasional utility-related incidents. The reviews portray Centennial as a community with strong daily operations and an engaging schedule, backed by responsive maintenance, but with at least some risk of negative interactions with the office/manager and intermittent infrastructure issues. Prospective residents should weigh the active, community-oriented living and generally responsive maintenance against isolated but serious reports of poor front-office conduct and occasional utility disruptions.
