    Beautiful facility, attentive staff, recommended

I toured and ultimately placed my mom here and have been very pleased - the facility is beautiful and well-maintained with landscaped grounds, pond views, generous one-bedroom suites and lots of natural light. Staff are consistently kind, helpful and attentive (hourly checks, appointment help), the dining is good with varied options, and there are abundant activities, fitness and social spaces that have made my mom happy and engaged. It's a bit ritzy/large and may not suit everyone (some accessibility concerns and a few COVID/visitation limits), but pricing is on par and I would recommend it.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment in these reviews is strongly positive, with frequent praise for the facility's appearance, amenities, staff attentiveness, and the variety of activities and dining options. Reviewers repeatedly describe Eagle Crest North as clean, well-maintained, and visually attractive — grounds are beautifully landscaped, exterior and interior spaces are described as mansion-like or ritzy, and multiple outdoor seating areas and courtyards are highlighted. Many reviewers emphasize that the building appears brand new or recently updated and that apartments are generous in size with good natural light and pleasant views, including pond views for some units.

Care quality and staff come across as a major strength. Multiple comments note that staff are helpful, kind, and attentive; the community provides hourly checks, helps arrange and transport residents to medical appointments, and adapts care as residents’ needs change. Memory care security is explicitly mentioned as good, and families describe their relatives as safe and happy. At the same time, a few reviewers observed fewer staff visible in common areas during visits, which can create the impression of under-staffing even though direct reports about responsiveness and care are uniformly positive.

Facilities and apartment features receive consistent praise. Units are described as generously designed, with separate living areas in one-bedroom or two-bedroom apartment-style layouts, elevators, and clean common spaces. Common amenities include a theater, fitness center, activity rooms for crafting and discussion, and multiple dining/social spaces. Some reviewers did note functional limitations — specifically that some kitchens are only somewhat functional — and a handful mentioned accessibility concerns for very frail residents, implying that while apartments are spacious and attractive, certain mobility- or independence-related needs should be checked during a tour.

Dining and activities are commonly cited as highlights. The dining room and food are repeatedly praised for being appetizing, varied, and accompanied by regular healthy snacks. The calendar of activities appears robust and culturally varied: residents participate in bingo, word searches, 1940s music gatherings, manicures, theater events, crafting, and social cookies/cocktail hours. Reviewers report that these activities helped residents make friends and feel at home, contributing to a strong sense of community.

Cost, fit, and tour experience show more mixed feedback. Several reviewers felt pricing was on par with other facilities but did not view the value as exceptional; others highly recommended the community despite cost. Price increases with apartment size were noted as a consideration. A few prospective residents found the facility’s upscale, high-fashion presentation to be incongruent with their loved ones’ backgrounds or preferences (for example, someone from a modest farming background felt it was too ritzy). Tour logistics also produced mixed experiences: some visitors could not view occupied rooms during tours, and COVID-related visit restrictions were mentioned as a past or ongoing limitation.

In summary, Eagle Crest North is consistently described as a high-quality, attractive senior living community with strong staff engagement, varied programming, and extensive amenities. It appears especially well suited to residents who value a newer, well-appointed environment with many social and cultural activities and reliable care support. Potential downsides to verify during a visit include kitchen functionality in specific units, accessibility for highly frail residents, cost relative to perceived value, and whether the community’s upscale style is a good cultural fit for a particular resident. Many reviewers strongly recommend Eagle Crest North, but several comments indicate that fit and individual priorities (budget, background, mobility needs) should guide the final decision.

    About Eagle Crest North

Eagle Crest North offers seniors different types of care, including independent living, assisted living, memory care, and nursing services, so folks get what they need as their health or abilities change over time, and the staff can help with daily tasks like dressing, bathing, eating, and moving from bed to wheelchair. The apartments have one or two bedrooms, with modern kitchens, walk-in showers, and washers and dryers inside each unit, some even have fireplaces, quartz countertops, walk-in closets, big bright rooms, and private decks, so seniors can be comfortable and have space for their things. Residents get meals every day, with organic ingredients used when possible, which saves time for those who don't want to cook, and housekeeping, laundry, and apartment maintenance are included, so there's less to worry about. There's a 24-hour call system in every apartment, and caregivers are always on site, so help's available all the time, and for those with diabetes, staff can help keep track of insulin and monitor health needs right in the community.

Wide hallways, wheelchair access, empty spaces for walking, and big elevators make moving about easier, so folks using walkers or wheelchairs won't have trouble getting to places throughout the community, and transportation services are ready for trips to doctor visits, outings, and errands, with staff around to help. The Town Center brings everyone together to enjoy a bistro, fitness center, movie theater, billiards room, fireplace lounge, chapel, and market, and there are interesting places like a botanical garden, riverboat lounge, Eagles Nest community room, and library for reading or quiet time. There's always something to do, with scheduled activities like fitness classes, game nights, happy hours, outings, clubs, and weekly wellness programs, and a chapel holds Bible studies, worship, and Catholic Mass, meeting a range of spiritual needs.

Residents in memory care neighborhoods get extra support, with staff trained to help with memory loss, and for everyone, the staff help with medication, mobility, and emergencies at any time, day or night. Eagle Crest North has some special things planned like rooftop decks, a meditation and yoga lounge, woodworking shop, virtual sports lounge, and more café spaces, all coming later. All utilities like heat, water, cable TV, wireless internet, and a local phone line come with the apartment, so bills are simple, and an indoor heated carwash is even available for those who still drive. Some apartments and areas are pet-free and smoke-free, and all residents have a month-to-month agreement, which gives some flexibility. All in all, Eagle Crest North tries to give seniors a safe and helpful place to live with support, activities, and spaces meant to bring the community together, without being too fancy or complicated for everyday life.
