    Luxurious tranquil community, attentive staff

I'm moving in soon and couldn't be more impressed - a gorgeous, tranquil community with luxurious, top-notch amenities (indoor pool, rooftop deck, tea room, golf simulator, gardens, Comet Club), spacious common areas and cozy nooks. The team is warm, communicative and truly resident-focused - Stacy Giddings and Executive Director Mara guided me through floor plans and the process, and KORU Health feels local and responsive. Service is professional, empathetic and attentive; I'm excited for the early-2025 opening. One caveat: oversight for disabled residents needs improvement. Highly recommended otherwise.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment: Reviews of The Westerly Pewaukee are overwhelmingly positive. Multiple reviewers describe the community as beautiful, luxurious, and inviting, repeatedly praising both the physical environment and the service culture. The general tone is one of enthusiasm and strong recommendation, with particular emphasis on the facility’s design, high-end amenities, and apparent organizational readiness as it approaches its early-2025 opening.

Facilities and amenities: The Westerly’s built environment and amenity package are cited as standout strengths. Reviewers mention spacious common areas with cozy nooks, a rooftop deck, an indoor swimming pool, a dedicated Comet Club social space, gardens, and walking paths. Specialty amenities highlighted include a tea room and a golf simulator; events with a nautical theme and well-organized community programming were also praised. Multiple comments emphasize beauty, tranquility, and luxury — reviewers repeatedly call out the facility as "gorgeous," "top notch," and "luxurious." These detailed amenity references suggest that the community is positioning itself toward an upscale market with a strong emphasis on lifestyle and social spaces.

Staff, leadership, and care orientation: Staff and leadership receive very strong marks across the reviews. Executive Director Mara is named as a strong leader and the team is described as welcoming, caring, professional, empathetic, and customer-service oriented. Individual staff members such as Stacy Giddings are specifically credited for helpfulness and for guiding prospective residents through floor plans and the move-in process. Reviewers repeatedly note that staff are informative, knowledgeable, and responsive to resident ideas and activities, and that the team supports seniors’ transitions in a compassionate way. Overall, these comments convey confidence in the human element of care and operations.

Activities, community life, and events: Reviewers report expectations of a lively activity schedule and strong community programming. Frequent references to many activities, superb amenities that enable socializing, organized events (noted as "wonderful" and "well organized"), and the presence of multiple gathering spaces support a picture of an active social environment. The Comet Club, tea room, and rooftop deck are highlighted as venues that will likely host social interactions and events, reinforcing a resident-centered lifestyle model.

Management and ownership: The ownership/management by KORU Health receives a favorable mention, with reviewers describing them as local and responsive to resident ideas. This perception of attentive, locally engaged management contributes to the positive expectations around how resident feedback and programming interests will be handled. Reviewers’ favorable remarks about leadership continuity ("leader for years to come") suggest confidence in institutional stability.

Notable concerns and caveats: Despite the strong positive skew, there are a couple of important caveats. One reviewer explicitly called out a lack of oversight for disabled residents — this is the most concrete negative item across the summaries and speaks to potential gaps in clinical oversight or specialized care protocols for residents with higher care needs. Additionally, the community is described as not yet open (grand opening in early 2025) and several impressions are anticipatory. That means much of the praise is based on tours, staff interactions, planned amenities, and early events rather than prolonged resident experience. Prospective residents and families should therefore seek follow-up information after the community has been operating for some time to confirm that staffing patterns, care oversight, and day-to-day operations meet expectations.

Synthesis and advice for prospective residents: In sum, The Westerly Pewaukee presents as a high-end, well-designed community with a strong emphasis on amenities, social programming, and resident-centered service. Leadership and staff are repeatedly praised, and ownership is viewed positively. The major item to probe further is care oversight for residents with disabilities or higher medical needs — prospective residents should specifically ask about staffing ratios, licensed nursing coverage, individualized care plans, and protocols for supervising residents with mobility or cognitive issues. Because many reviews reflect pre-opening impressions, families should also request updates on actual operations, resident feedback after the facility has been open, and any post-opening adjustments to staffing or programming. Overall, reviewers convey confidence and enthusiasm, positioning The Westerly as a highly recommended option for those seeking a luxurious and active senior living environment, with the single notable recommendation to verify clinical oversight for higher-acuity needs once the community is fully operational.

Apartments come in studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom layouts, some with extra rooms like dens or dining spaces that residents can use for guests or hobbies, and there are private units for more privacy, which is something people usually want as they get older. Memory Care is for folks with Alzheimer's or dementia, aiming to keep them safe and at ease with secure areas that help prevent wandering, and provides a soothing environment for those who need extra direction.

Residents can take part in events and activities that help them stay active with physical, social, and mental programs, some of which have even won community awards for being friendly and fun, like Best of Senior Living and Most Friendly awards, so you'll always see something going on, and the staff keep things lively since they're helpful, joyful, and known for being kind, which makes a big difference in any place where people live together.

There are also home care services by trained aides for those who want to stay in their own homes but still need help or company, which adds another choice for families, and for those needing more care, nursing home services and continuing care retirement community features are on site, so someone can move through different levels of care without having to leave the community they know. Safety is important here, too, with steps in place to prevent any issues with account use, like temporary blocks and ways to manage social activity safely, and new accounts are created with care.
