    Warm homey well-run memory care

I moved my sister here and I'm very pleased - the staff are warm and accommodating, invited her to an activity on day one, and she's genuinely happy. The home is well-designed and tidy with spacious, homey apartments (private sink/toilet), park-like grounds and community gardens. Dining is homemade and healthy with great taste, and the varied activities program plus long-tenured local owners and strong memory-care reputation give me peace of mind.

    Summary of reviews

Maple Ridge of Plover presents a mixed picture. Many comments highlight strong community features: landscaped, park-like grounds and well-tended interiors create a home-like environment, and apartments are described as spacious with private fixtures. The facility appears to have a warm, family-oriented culture supported by long-tenured, compassionate caregivers and local, family ownership. Resident morale and family testimonials are often positive, and the admission process and early engagement with new residents are described as welcoming.

Dining and activities are clear strengths. Reviewers consistently praise homemade, healthy menu options and an intimate main dining room; dining taste and menu variety are frequently noted. The activities program is broad and year-round with indoor options for winter months and frequent invitations for resident participation. Social-media engagement and visible resident-centered programming contribute to a sense of community involvement.

Despite those strengths, there are recurring operational concerns that prospective families should evaluate. Several accounts point to inconsistent staff professionalism and variable privacy practices, including instances where family members found staff interactions inappropriate or intrusive. Communication and responsiveness from administration are described as slow in some cases, creating frustration when families raise concerns or request updates.

More serious care-related patterns also appear in the feedback. There are references to inconsistencies in dementia- and memory-care supervision, with related sanitation and incontinence-care delays cited in some reports. These issues are described as episodic rather than universal, but they are significant when they occur; some comments also raise odor concerns in memory-care areas. Relatedly, reviewers describe variable care quality across shifts or units and occasional delays in dining assistance or other personal-care tasks.

Management and accountability emerge as an area for close review. Multiple comments indicate gaps in managerial engagement and a perceived lack of timely follow-through on family concerns. This interacts with the other operational issues: where management communication is weak, staffing and care inconsistencies appear more pronounced.

Overall, Maple Ridge of Plover offers many attributes attractive to prospective residents—strong dining, a robust activities program, landscaped grounds, and a family-like culture supported by experienced staff. At the same time, families should probe operational safeguards during a visit: ask about staffing levels per shift, dementia-care protocols and supervision, incontinence and personal-care schedules, sanitation practices, incident reporting and follow-up, and how management communicates with families. A focused tour and direct questions of current families can help clarify whether the facility’s strengths are consistently realized for a particular resident.

    About Maple Ridge of Plover

Maple Ridge Of Plover, found at 2841 Maple Drive in Plover, Wisconsin, has a history stretching back to 2007 with local ownership by Tanglewood Assisted Living, Inc. and offers both assisted living and memory care services set up to help older adults with different needs. The community manages assisted living, memory care, and board and care home services, including a separate Memory Care Campus for folks with dementia, where they're careful about providing safe spaces to prevent confusion and wandering, with staff who keep an eye on things around the clock. They try to look out for people living with diabetes and offer meal plans that fit special dietary needs, like allergy-sensitive and diabetes-friendly options, so those who live there can eat without too much worry, and meals are made with focus on balanced nutrition. Staff are always around for emergencies with call systems for extra peace of mind, and they can help with daily tasks like bathing, dressing, moving from bed to wheelchair, and making sure the right medicines get taken at the right time, offering personalized care levels that might be called high, medium, or low based on what someone really needs, along with support for mild cognitive problems.

The grounds are set up to help folks feel comfortable and keep busy, offering room choices from studio and one-bedroom to two-bedroom or semi-private setups, all with basic furniture and telephones, and there's a dining room for meals. For getting out and about, you'll find walking paths, gardens, community indoor spaces for chatting or relaxing, and planned activities like leisure walks, movie nights, arts and crafts, and other group gatherings that let folks move and connect, plus special devotionals for those who want them. Other comforts include housekeeping, laundry, transportation, a barber or salon, and common room spaces that make social time easier. Maple Ridge Of Plover uses unique terms for their care programs but keeps those inside their own community, and they're set up with dementia and hospice waivers, so they're able to provide different types of specialized care for changing needs.

For paying for care, the community accepts private pay, social security, veteran's benefits, and commercial insurance, with fees broken down into a community fee, respite fee, buy-in fee, and extra costs depending on care needs. Residents benefit from furnished living spaces, community-sponsored activities, and emergency alert systems, and coordination for moving in makes settling down easier. Ancillary healthcare supports cover things like incontinence, diabetic care, and non-ambulatory needs so families know there's help for all kinds of situations. The main goal at Maple Ridge Of Plover is to provide a safe, steady, and caring place where older adults get the right support and can keep living as fully as possible.
