    Great social life, poor maintenance

I love the phenomenal staff, constant activities, and the walkable location - my mom's apartment is fantastic and she feels it's perfect. But maintenance is awful: a lazy repairman, weekly elevator failures, garage door and plumbing issues and even a roof cave-in; it's expensive and they feel like they only want your money (monthly pet fees too). Great social life, terrible upkeep - I wouldn't move here.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment in the provided reviews is mixed but centers on a strong contrast: residents and reviewers praise the community staff, activity offerings, apartment quality, and location, while expressing serious and repeated concerns about facilities maintenance, safety, and management priorities.

Staff and care quality: Multiple reviews explicitly call staff "phenomenal," and one reviewer notes that their mother feels it is "the perfect place." These comments indicate that day-to-day interactions with caregivers and front-line employees tend to be a strong point, and that programming and resident engagement are appreciated. The presence of many activities is repeatedly mentioned, which supports the impression of an active social environment and good resident programming.

Facilities and maintenance: The most significant negative pattern across the reviews involves building systems and maintenance responsiveness. Reviewers report weekly elevator breakdowns, plumbing problems, and even a roof cave-in. There are also incidents described with the garage door — striking cars or failing to close reliably — which raises safety and property-damage concerns. A recurring complaint is that the maintenance technician is unhelpful or evasive (described as "lazy" and telling residents to fix things themselves or being unable to obtain parts). Taken together, these items suggest systemic maintenance, repair-supply, or vendor-management problems that materially affect resident safety and convenience.

Location, apartments, dining, and activities: The community's location is repeatedly cited as a positive: close to a shopping center and convenient for walking to shops. Apartments themselves are described as "fantastic" and several reviewers summarize their overall experience as very positive. Dining is not specifically mentioned in the supplied summaries, so there is no direct evidence to assess food quality or dining services from these reviews. The frequent mention of activities and the strong staff praise indicate that programming and social opportunities are likely strengths.

Management, cost, and policy concerns: Alongside praise for staff and programming, reviewers express distrust of management or ownership, with statements that the community "doesn’t care about you only your money." Cost is another repeated theme: the community is described as expensive, and reviewers note a monthly pet fee as an additional recurring cost. One reviewer explicitly warns others "don’t move here," a qualitative red flag that reflects the depth of dissatisfaction among some residents, particularly around maintenance and management responsiveness.

Notable patterns and advice: The dominant theme is a split between excellent customer-facing services (staff, activities, apartments, location) and troubling back-of-house operations (maintenance reliability, building systems, and managerial responsiveness). For prospective residents or family members considering this community, the reviews suggest probing deeper on a few specific points before deciding: ask for documented maintenance logs and response-time guarantees, verify elevator and roof repair histories, get clarification on garage-door and parking protections, confirm all fees (including pet fees) and typical rent increases, and speak with current residents about management responsiveness. If safety and reliable building maintenance are priorities, these reports warrant careful follow-up despite the strong positives in staff, activities, and location.
