    Blessed with caring, clean facility

I placed my mom here and I feel blessed to have this facility in our community - private, clean rooms, excellent and prompt care, friendly staff, entertainment, hospice allowed, and very good food (delicious desserts). Caregivers are mostly very good and my mom was treated with kindness and even speaks up for other residents. Drawbacks: one unprofessional caregiver whose behavior was backed by the manager, and prices have increased twice in a year.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment: The reviews portray Wisteria Haus as a facility that provides generally strong, compassionate care and is valued in its community. Multiple reviewers highlight consistent positives such as attentive caregivers, clean private rooms, good food including appealing desserts, prompt medication administration, and the availability of entertainment and hospice services. The dominant impression is one of residents being well cared for and families feeling blessed to have this option in their community.

Care quality and staff: Care quality emerges as a clear strength. Phrases like "mostly very good caregivers," "excellent care," and "well cared for" appear repeatedly, and reviewers emphasize that residents are treated with kindness and respect. Prompt medication administration is specifically noted, which suggests reliable clinical routines. Staff are also described as friendly, and caregivers are generally praised for their compassion. However, there is a notable exception: at least one reviewer reports an unprofessional or unkind caregiver. That incident is significant because it affected family trust and was followed by a management response that the family perceived as siding with the caregiver rather than the resident.

Facilities and cleanliness: The physical environment receives positive mention. Clean rooms and the availability of private rooms are explicitly noted, suggesting the facility maintains good housekeeping standards and offers privacy options. These points reinforce the overall perception of a comfortable, well-maintained living environment for residents.

Dining and activities: Dining is consistently identified as a positive feature. Reviewers describe the food as very good and highlight delicious desserts, indicating meal quality is a meaningful strength. Entertainment and activities are offered, which contributes to residents' quality of life and engagement. The allowance of hospice services is also mentioned, indicating the facility can accommodate end-of-life care needs and coordinate with external providers.

Management, family advocacy, and pricing concerns: While care and daily operations are viewed positively, management practices draw mixed feedback. One reviewer specifically reports that a manager sided with an unkind caregiver after a complaint, which raises concerns about responsiveness and conflict resolution. Another practical concern is financial: reviewers note that prices increased twice within a single year. This pattern of frequent rate increases may worry prospective residents and families about affordability and transparency. Additionally, the fact that a family member "spoke up for residents" is presented positively as advocacy but also implies that families sometimes need to intervene to address issues, which can be a sign that staff or management responsiveness is not uniformly proactive.

Overall assessment and patterns: In sum, Wisteria Haus appears to deliver high-quality, compassionate care with strong food service, clean private rooms, available activities, and capacity for hospice care. These strengths make it a valued option in the community. The main caveats are isolated incidents involving an unprofessional caregiver and a perceived unsatisfactory managerial response, plus concerning frequency of price increases. Prospective families should weigh the consistently positive reports about daily care, meals, cleanliness, and staff friendliness against the documented concerns about management responsiveness and recent pricing trends. Where possible, families may want to ask administrators about complaint-resolution procedures and rate-stability policies before making decisions.

    About Wisteria Haus

Wisteria Haus sits in the Two Rivers community and has served seniors here for over 20 years as a small, close-knit assisted-living residence. Wisteria Haus belongs to North Oak Senior Living and runs with a strong commitment to dignity, respect, trust, and kindness every day. Caregivers and providers at Wisteria Haus have lots of experience and training with seniors, some staff have stayed since the very beginning, and they work hard to offer friendly support, encouragement, and guidance in a non-intrusive way. The management team handles daily operations and makes sure people living here feel welcome and comfortable.

Residents find different types of care depending on what they need, with both assisted living and memory care services offered. Wisteria Haus uses community-based residential facilities, also called CBRFs, which let seniors live in neighborhoods that help everyone feel connected and safe. The residence provides a range of support, like help with daily living, medication management, incontinence care, diabetic care, specialized memory programs, and non-ambulatory care, along with regular housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance. Trained staff remain present around the clock, and safety features include emergency call systems in rooms and alarmed doors.

Wisteria Haus offers rooms with wheelchair-accessible showers, ground floor units, high-speed internet, and air conditioning. Around the building, seniors can visit indoor and outdoor common areas, a TV lounge, a central fireplace, a beauty salon, a barber shop, and spend time on the outside patio. Meals and guest meals are provided every day, and healthcare staff help manage medications and wellness needs. Devotional services are offered offsite, and transportation, including parking, is available to help residents stay mobile. The facility emphasizes community engagement and keeps a busy calendar packed with activities that help people move, socialize, and celebrate, such as holiday events.

Long-term care is available, and assisted living services focus on giving each resident a sense of purpose and fulfillment. The staff puts together activities based on what residents like, making sure they can join in ways that promote health, mental activity, and friendships. Residents find social living rooms, hassle-free upkeep, and a safe space to build relationships. Wisteria Haus keeps things clean and organized, standing out for its attention to detail and high standards. Extra support through the community includes a communication platform, legal and training support called the WALA Reinhart Legal Line, recruitment help, and discounted CBRF training. Wisteria Haus also belongs to a network of communities like Cornerstone of Oak Creek RCAC and others in Wisconsin, all dedicated to quality senior living.

The mission here guides every action, aiming to enrich each person's mind, body, and spirit, while making sure their daily lives feel stable, supportive, and connected, so that seniors can thrive, feel a sense of belonging, and enjoy daily life.
