    Very pleased with excellent staff

I'm very pleased with this beautiful, always-clean, full-care facility - my apartment is cleaned, laundry and varied meals are provided, and staff consistently go above and beyond with activities, entertainment, school visits, bus transportation and a beauty shop. COVID-19 restrictions are in place; my only complaint was a single instance of rude/short phone etiquette.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment in the reviews for Creamery Creek Senior Living Viroqua - Stoddard is strongly positive. Multiple comments emphasize that the facility is brand new and beautiful, consistently clean, and that residents appear happy and well cared for. Reviewers repeatedly note the presence of full-care services, with practical day-to-day supports such as apartment cleaning, laundry services, and provided meals. The combination of solid care services and an attractive physical environment creates a favorable first impression across the summaries.

Care quality and day-to-day operations receive high marks. Reviewers explicitly mention full care availability and indicate satisfaction with routine services (cleaning, laundry, meals). Staff are a major strength cited throughout: descriptors like "wonderful," "above and beyond," and "positive attitude" recur, suggesting that personal caregiving and resident interactions are strong points. Several reviewers went so far as to recommend the community to others, which reinforces an overall perception of reliable, compassionate care.

Facilities and amenities are also praised. The center is described as brand new and beautiful, and reviewers note it is "always clean." Amenities that enhance residents' quality of life include organized entertainment and activities, intergenerational visits from schoolchildren, bus transportation, and an on-site beauty shop. These offerings point to an active, socially engaging environment that supports varied resident needs and preferences. Dining specifically is described positively, with a "good food variety," indicating that meal service is both available and generally well received.

There are a few notable concerns and patterns to watch. One explicit negative comment stands out: a report of rude staff behavior characterized by poor phone etiquette and staff being short with a caller. While this appears isolated against the backdrop of many positive staff reports, it suggests inconsistency in communication standards—particularly in phone/front-desk interactions. Management should note that even a single negative interaction can impact perceptions, so attention to staff training and phone protocols would be prudent.

COVID-19 restrictions are mentioned in the summaries. The presence of restrictions implies the facility is attentive to safety and infection control, which many families will see as a positive. However, the mention itself may also indicate limitations on visitation or routines that some reviewers considered noteworthy. The reviews do not elaborate on the nature or severity of those restrictions, so it is a neutral-to-cautious point: it signals safety measures are in place but may have influenced the resident or family experience in ways not detailed in the summaries.

In summary, the dominant themes are very favorable: a new, clean facility with comprehensive care services, supportive staff who often go above and beyond, a good variety of meals, and robust activities and amenities that promote resident engagement. The principal weakness evident in the summaries is an isolated but clear complaint about rudeness and poor phone etiquette, which introduces a caution about inconsistent communication practices. Overall the reviews portray Creamery Creek Senior Living Viroqua - Stoddard as a highly recommended, well-run community with strong care and service offerings, with a manageable and addressable area for operational improvement around front-line communication.

About Creamery Creek Senior Living Viroqua - Stoddard

Creamery Creek Senior Living in Viroqua and Stoddard sits in southern Wisconsin with pretty views of farmland and the Driftless Region bluffs, and while the setting is nice with outdoor patios, raised gardens, stone fireplaces, and walking trails, the main focus stays on helping residents with daily life through personalized care, whether in assisted living, memory care, nursing, or independent living arrangements, and the whole place tries to feel homey and welcoming, carrying that small-town sense of community that makes folks comfortable. The apartments are sized for privacy and include kitchenettes with refrigerators, private bathrooms with roll-in showers, window blinds, safety grab bars, and emergency pull cords, plus all apartments have individual climate control and in-floor heating, so residents stay comfortable. Meal service provides three meals each day with snacks around the clock, and the dining rooms serve food made with quality ingredients.

Residents get help with bathing, dressing, and medication management if they need it, and there's 24-hour staff with personal care workers always on-site, an RN on site or on call day and night, and support for non-ambulatory care, diabetes, incontinence, and respiratory needs. Memory care is set up for those with Alzheimer's or dementia with secure, alarmed doors and trained staff, and there's a multi-sensory room for easing fear, anxiety, and depression using light, color, music, and scents. Both buildings have an emergency call system, secured doors, and old-fashioned touches like cozy fireplaces in the common rooms. Activities run all week, with things like movie nights, exercise, live music, art, gardening, dancing, group walks, and cooking, plus therapy animals and recreational events for stimulation and social connection. There are also family education programs and resident-run groups, with events held both in the community and around town.

Housekeeping and laundry are part of the weekly routine with extra services available when needed, and there's scheduled transport for errands and outings, along with wellness checks and support for residents who need encouragement to keep up hobbies or socialize. The grounds feature quiet spots to relax, a campfire area, and walking paths, while the larger spaces inside have community rooms, a library, and a beauty salon. Residents can bring their own furniture and belongings to feel more at home, and care plans change as residents' needs change, so people can stay in their own apartments longer while still getting the care they need. Creamery Creek keeps a steady score of 7.3 from Seniorly, and staff are recognized for friendliness and good service. This is a place that aims to help people keep their routines and choices while getting support with daily tasks, in a calm, safe, and social setting.
