    Immaculate caring home-like senior care

I placed my mother here and couldn't be happier. The home-like facility is immaculately clean, serves healthy home-cooked meals, and offers individualized, timely care thanks to a low aide-to-resident ratio and carefully trained, very caring staff. The owner is hands-on with daily oversight, the community is welcoming to family, and she is safe, comfortable - giving me real peace of mind. Highly recommended.

    Summary review

The reviews for Greenview Senior Living present a strongly positive overall impression, with repeated emphasis on a warm, home-like atmosphere and meticulous cleanliness. Multiple reviewers highlight that the facility is “immaculately clean” and well-maintained, and they consistently describe the environment as comfortable, secure, and welcoming to families and visitors. The community is frequently characterized as loving and warm, suggesting a social environment where residents and families feel accepted and supported.

Care quality emerges as a principal strength. Reviewers point to a low aide-to-resident ratio that enables individualized and timely attention. Staff are described repeatedly as carefully trained, very caring, helpful, and sensitive to residents’ needs. Several summaries specifically note hands-on, knowledgeable oversight by the owner — including daily involvement — which reviewers associate with improved and consistent care. The combination of trained aides, a favorable staffing ratio, and active owner involvement contributes to a sense of high-quality, attentive care that provides peace of mind for families.

Dining and day-to-day living are also highlighted positively. Reviewers mention home-cooked, healthy meals and generally “good food,” reinforcing the home-like feel. The facility’s emphasis on healthy, prepared meals appears to complement the personalized care model. Overall, the impression is of a small, attentive environment where basic daily needs — cleanliness, nutrition, personal care — are reliably met to a high standard.

Management and trajectory receive favorable comments as well. Several reviewers note “improvements under new ownership,” and the consistent references to owner involvement imply that leadership changes have had a constructive impact on the resident experience. Because of these changes and the hands-on managerial style, many reviewers explicitly recommend the community and report that it provides families with peace of mind.

Notable gaps and potential concerns in the review set are limited but worth pointing out. The summaries do not provide much detail about organized activities, enrichment programming, or social engagement beyond the general characterization of a loving community; this absence makes it difficult to assess the breadth of recreational or cognitive stimulation offerings. Similarly, reviews focus on aide-delivered personal care and household environment but offer little specific information about clinical or medical services, therapies, or how the facility manages higher-acuity medical needs. Finally, while reviews are overwhelmingly positive, the mention of “improvements under new ownership” implicitly indicates there were issues in the past; reviewers do not elaborate on what those issues were or whether any lingering concerns remain.

In sum, the aggregated reviews depict Greenview Senior Living as a small, well-maintained, and family-friendly community with strong, individualized caregiving, attentive and compassionate staff, and a high standard for cleanliness and meals. Management appears active and effective, and reviewers frequently recommend the community. For a prospective resident or family, the primary strengths to expect are personalized attention, a warm atmosphere, and operational cleanliness; areas where additional information would be useful include specifics about activity programming and the depth of clinical/medical services available should residents’ needs escalate.

    About Greenview Senior Living

Greenview Senior Living, located in Akron, Ohio, accepts seniors aged 55 and over and offers a variety of care options like independent living, assisted living, memory care, and home care services, so residents can stay even as their needs increase, and nobody has to move just because a care level changes, because folks might need anything from light help to very heavy care, and that's where things like standby assistance, help with dressing and bathing, incontinence care, and diabetic care with blood sugar checks come into play, though staff can't do insulin or sliding scale therapy, but they manage medications, offer reminders, and help with restroom use, which is especially important for those who need more support or have memory issues; memory care residents have their own secure, fully-staffed areas with programs and therapies that focus on safety and comfort, with activities to keep them engaged and happy while reducing confusion and keeping folks from wandering off, and the facility tries to make things easy for families by offering services like respite care and hospice, plus a care level percentage system to help figure out just what a resident needs, and, for those who want to stay home, Greenview even offers home care services with trusted aides who provide non-medical support and company.

The building provides single room units with private bathrooms, and the grounds are secure, including outdoor patios, a TV lounge, and common areas both inside and out, with gardens for walking and spaces for relaxing or meeting family, so folks can enjoy some fresh air or sit and chat, and there's free Wi-Fi, resident parking, and even transportation for outings, doctor appointments, or just getting around town, which is handy since it's close to good parking and public transportation, and for those with pets, some pets are allowed. Meals are prepared by chefs and meal planners who focus on tasty, nutritious ingredients, and the community dining options make sure that everyone has access to special diets like kosher or vegetarian, with daily menus and snacks, and the staff organizes scheduled activities, onsite and offsite, including movie nights, exercise, games, events, arts and crafts, and even holiday auctions, which keeps life interesting, social, and gives folks something to look forward to.

Staff are available 24 hours a day and awake around the clock, with visiting nurses, a doctor on call, and therapists like podiatrists, dentists, physical, occupational, and speech therapists who visit residents needing extra care, making it so residents can get medical care right on site. The facility is licensed by the state, and there's a focus on a warm, home-like environment that feels comfortable and supportive, with housekeeping provided to keep spaces clean, and community-sponsored activities to help residents stay connected and make friends. Greenview offers an all-inclusive pricing structure, so families know what to expect without worrying about hidden fees, and there's a memory care studio that averages $6,100 per month, which is about the going rate for such specialized services in the area. Greenview is associated with the Fairlawn Area Chamber of Commerce, which means it stays connected to local resources, and membership benefits like Circle of Excellence and member dues are part of its professional practice. Residents can enjoy a safe, nurturing space where staff are well trained and helpful, doing their best to keep everyone active, healthy, and as independent as possible, and Greenview takes pride in being clean, homey, and attentive to the real-life needs of seniors.
