    About Emporia Presbyterian Manor

Emporia Presbyterian Manor sits on a 20-acre campus at 2300 Industrial Road in Emporia, Kansas, and it's part of Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America®, a faith-based not-for-profit organization with over 75 years of experience offering senior care in Kansas and Missouri, and you'll find a variety of living choices here like Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, as well as Long-Term Care and Short-Term Rehab through the PATH® program, plus some homes and apartments with floor plans including Trusler Plaza options like The Redbud, The Elm, The Magnolia, The Oak, and The Sycamore, and also Fox Ridge Villa and different Assisted Living layouts like The Aster, The Daylilly, The Sunflower, and The Wildflower, while Memory Care offers private and semi-private rooms. The community is Medicare and Medicaid certified, which helps cover certain rehabilitation, skilled nursing, long-term care, and memory care costs, and there's a strong focus on resident wellness by offering 24-hour nursing care, help with activities of daily living, and specialized support for dementia, wound care, and individual care plans including physical, speech, and occupational therapy. Residents use amenities such as a wellness center, spa, restaurant-style dining, a country store, a pond and gazebo, a chapel, library, computer stations, walking path, multi-purpose room, and internet access, and there are groups, clubs, events, excursions, an emergency call system, plus scheduled local transportation to medical appointments and shopping, and housekeeping and laundry services are available to make things easier. Staff includes an executive director, Susan Siepelmeier, and a marketing and sales director, Andraya Taber, and the community keeps a mission to provide quality senior services guided by Christian values, aiming to address physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs, and also offers resources and planning information for families, as well as financial guidance, veteran benefits, dementia-friendly support, and options for caregivers. The Manor is involved with research and training around transportation needs and technical assistance, offering programs like RTAP and LTAP, publishes newsletters and directories, and runs different programs such as the Innovative Technology Program, Build a Better Mousetrap, and an Equipment Loan Program, plus there's involvement in community events, conferences, and ecumenical gatherings. They have a Life Plan Community, which means that as care needs change, residents can receive more support without having to move far, and there's a strong connection with other campuses and resources across Kansas and Missouri through the larger PMMA organization, which also keeps information available about aging, health, and payment assistance, so people find many ways to connect, learn, and find what fits them best.
