    About Forest Park Village

Forest Park Village is a nonprofit, Christian-based senior living community run by Homme Homes, with locations in Wausau and Wittenberg. The community serves people ages 62 and up and has options for independent living, assisted living, nursing care, and rehabilitation. They have seventy-five modern one- or two-bedroom apartments fitted out with appliances, air conditioning, and window blinds. Residents can live independently, or they can get help with daily activities, medication, bathing, or housekeeping if that's needed, and they'll find friendly staff on duty around the clock in all care areas.

Stone Crest Residence offers 24-hour staff supervision, memory care with a Wander Guard security system for people at risk of wandering, and full-service support including meals, laundry, and health monitoring, with extra help for medication and insulin management when needed. Garden Apartments provide a smaller amount of help-up to 28 hours each week-with the same care for health, meals, medication, and personal needs along with cleaning and laundry.

The community doesn't allow smoking indoors in any of its public or private spaces, and it's tobacco-free in all living areas. Residents can bring pets, and they get complimentary transportation for appointments and the weekly shopping trips Forest Park Village organizes, which some folks find convenient. The activities calendar is full and lively, with fitness classes, a woodshop for crafts, a library, a beauty salon, and social gatherings with regular special dinners, games, and faith-based services in the chapel. The dining room offers a full salad bar for lunch, lighter choices for dinner, and special culinary events. There's a café on site, and people can relax while enjoying panoramic views around the grounds. Those who want to keep busy may appreciate the Independent Living Plus program, which gives extra support for things like linen changes, household chores, and more activities.

For people who need therapy, they can get physical, occupational, or speech therapy on doctor's orders right on the property. Residents can go to religious services in the chapel or take part in community traditions and social events. People may use indoor parking for an extra fee, and the homes use electric heat, for which residents pay the cost. Forest Park Village is dedicated to treating each person with dignity and respect, with a focus on independence and an active way of living, offering help that's personalized to individual needs. There's a foundation that accepts donations to support activities and care for residents. Adult day services are also available.
