    Rocky move-in bedbugs rude staff

I appreciated the clean common areas and a few helpful staff, and movie night/neighbors were okay, but my move-in was rocky — the refrigerator and cell service didn’t work (they push for a landline). Worse, I found bed bugs and staff blamed residents, were rude and unresponsive, and handled complaints unprofessionally. I can’t recommend this place until management fixes these issues.

    Summary review

The reviews for Pullman Senior Suites present a mixed overall picture with distinct positive elements around community and cleanliness but serious and recurring concerns around management response and maintenance. Several reviewers praise aspects of daily life such as clean shared spaces, social events like movie night, and the chance to meet neighbors. Some residents explicitly state they would recommend the facility, and a number of comments describe staff members as nice and helpful. The presence of an independent-living model (no mandatory meal plan) is noted and implicitly appreciated by some residents who prefer autonomy.

However, the most significant negative theme is centered on pest control and how staff handled that issue. At least one review reports bed bugs in an apartment, and that incident is compounded by allegations that staff blamed residents rather than taking responsibility or transparently addressing the infestation. This narrative feeds into a broader pattern in the reviews: staff behavior is inconsistent. While some reviewers characterize staff as nice and helpful, others describe staff as rude, unresponsive to concerns, and unprofessional in handling complaints. That inconsistency suggests variability in staff training, communication, or management oversight and is a central driver of resident dissatisfaction.

Facility- and move-in-related problems are another clear pattern. Multiple summaries mention move-in difficulties, including essential equipment problems such as a refrigerator not working at move-in. There are also communications/technology issues: a reviewer noted a cell phone not working and the need for a landline. These practical/logistical problems at the start of residency create stress and signal lapses in move-in coordination and maintenance readiness.

On social life and amenities, the facility seems to support community-building opportunities (movie nights, neighbor introductions), and common areas are regularly described as clean — definite positives for residents seeking social interaction and a tidy environment. Dining deserves separate mention: the lack of a meal plan can be a pro for some (greater independence) but is also listed as a negative by others who may expect or prefer structured meal services. This split further underscores that resident satisfaction may depend heavily on individual preferences and expectations.

In summary, Pullman Senior Suites appears to offer a generally clean environment with community activities and staff members who can be helpful, but there are notable and serious concerns that affect overall sentiment. The handling of a bed-bug incident and multiple reports of unprofessional or unresponsive staff are the most alarming trends and suggest systemic issues in complaint resolution and accountability. Practical move-in and maintenance failures (nonworking refrigerator, communication device issues) also diminish the experience for new residents. Prospective residents should weigh the facility’s social and cleanliness strengths against these documented management, maintenance, and pest-control concerns, and ask direct questions about pest management protocols, move-in checklists, staff training, and communication procedures before deciding.
