    Caring clean affordable memory care

I placed my mother at Kenosha Place and I'm glad we did. The building is well-maintained with a nice layout, clean rooms and private memory-care suites; staff are friendly, caring, and easy to talk to. Activities and food are great, and it's affordable - closets are small and green space is limited. We had slow care at first, but management intervened and things improved; my mom is clean, happy, and I trust the staff. I would recommend Kenosha Place to other families.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment in the reviews for Kenosha Place II is positive, with multiple reviewers emphasizing the caring nature of staff, the cleanliness and upkeep of the facility, and a strong program of activities. Several comments specifically note that caregivers truly care about residents, that residents are kept clean and happy, and that families feel they can trust the staff. The facility’s layout and private memory care rooms are called out as strengths, and reviewers repeatedly say they would recommend the community and that it was a better fit than another community they considered.

Care quality: Reviews indicate generally good care, with an important pattern to note: there were initial care issues and reports of slow care early on. However, those same reviewers describe management stepping in and improving the situation, suggesting that issues were addressed and that care stabilized afterward. Multiple summaries emphasize that caregivers are caring and attentive, and families reported confidence and trust in the staff after improvements. The pattern indicates a possible adjustment period at move-in or early staffing problems that were resolved through management action.

Staff and management: Staff are consistently described as friendly and caring. Reviewers appreciate being able to speak easily with management, and several specifically credit management intervention with improving care. The combination of approachable management and apparently compassionate caregivers is a recurring theme and is a key contributor to residents’ well-being and family confidence. That said, the presence of initial problems suggests that monitoring early care transitions may be useful for prospective families.

Facilities and environment: The building layout and maintenance receive positive remarks; the facility is described as well-maintained and clean. Private memory care rooms are highlighted as a plus for those needing that level of care. The most notable physical drawbacks mentioned are relatively small closets in units and a lack of green or outdoor space due to the property being landlocked. These are specific, tangible limitations that may matter to residents who value storage or outdoor access.

Dining and activities: Reviewers call out good food and well-planned activities as strengths. The activity program is mentioned explicitly as "great," which, combined with the positive remarks about dining, suggests a strong social and daily-life environment that supports resident engagement and satisfaction.

Affordability and recommendations: Affordability is noted as a benefit, and several reviewers state they would recommend Kenosha Place II to other families. One reviewer explicitly said it was a better fit than another community, which suggests Kenosha Place II can compare favorably regionally in terms of overall fit, staff responsiveness, and program offerings.

Notable patterns and considerations for prospective residents/families: The most important pattern is that initial care problems were reported but were apparently resolved through management involvement; this implies the facility has the capacity to correct course when issues arise but also that families should monitor the early transition period. Physical limitations—small closets and limited outdoor space—are consistent, specific drawbacks that prospective residents should factor into decisions. Strengths such as caring staff, cleanliness, private memory care rooms, good food, robust activities, clear lines of communication with management, and affordability are repeatedly cited and form the core of the positive impression.

In summary, Kenosha Place II appears to be a well-kept, affordable community with engaged staff, good dining and activities, and private memory care accommodations. While there were early reports of slow or inconsistent care, management intervention is credited with improving those issues, and subsequent reviews express trust in staff and satisfaction with resident well-being. The main practical downsides are small storage space and limited outdoor/green areas due to the site’s configuration, which should be weighed against the facility’s many interpersonal and programmatic strengths.
