Life Circles, also known as LifeCircles PACE, gives seniors in Muskegon and Holland, Michigan, a way to get care at home instead of moving to a long-term facility, and it's built around the PACE® model, which stands for Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly, so people aged 55 and older can get almost everything they need in one place, and most of the staff are friendly and caring, working together to help each participant with a plan that's right for them-this means things like healthcare, medication help, transportation that's wheelchair accessible, and support with daily tasks like bathing, dressing, meals, and more, and there's a big focus on compassion, clear communication, and making people feel like they belong in the community, because they want to help seniors stay where they're comfortable.
The office hours run Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and on Saturday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, closing on Sundays, and care teams speak English, plus the online site lets families request information or set up visits. The program covers many services, from adult day care and in-home personal care to prescription delivery, medical appointments, and in-home therapies with everything managed by an interdisciplinary team that checks in and keeps track of medical needs, with extra services for people who need help with memory, have diabetes or Parkinson's, or have behavioral issues.
Participants at the centers get meals, snacks, spiritual care, exercise, games, arts and crafts, movie nights, group activities, and time outdoors, with amenities like a garden, walking paths, fitness rooms, a spa, a game room, a library, and places to relax inside or outside, plus furnished rooms come with private bathrooms, kitchenettes, air conditioning, phone, internet, and cable TV. There are also safety features such as 24-hour supervision and call systems, and they handle medication management and things like insulin shots, so people with complex needs get help right away.
Life Circles supports people who need respite care for short stays, behavioral health services, and dementia care through a dementia waiver, and it offers independent living for those who don't need daily help but want to downsize; the program puts a high value on teamwork so medical care, meal prep, cleaning, shopping, transportation, and even spiritual needs are all handled in a way that respects each senior's wishes and culture, with policies against discrimination of any kind. The clinics provide dental, vision, and hearing care, along with foot care and advance care planning, and there's always wheelchair-friendly transportation to make sure everyone gets to appointments and activities safely. The centers are located in convenient spots-Tanglewood Park in Norton Shores and behind Dutch Village in Holland-offering a stable, connected setting, and since 2009, Life Circles has given area seniors and families another choice for remaining active, well cared for, and part of a community.
