Hayden House Senior Living, set in Springfield, Ohio, will provide 44 apartments for seniors aged 55 and over in an active adult community setting, and it'll go up on the former Highlands Elementary School site, filling a need for senior housing on the city's south side. Developed by the Woda Group, Hayden House Senior Living got $800,000 in tax credits from the Ohio Housing Finance Agency, and it's also funded with H.O.M.E. funds from the city, showing some commitment to affordable and quality living. The community aims to offer both one-bedroom and two-bedroom units at affordable prices, and each apartment has private bathrooms, walk-in showers, kitchenettes, air conditioning, cable TV, Wi-Fi, and even some furnished options for people who prefer that, plus energy-efficient heating and cooling for added comfort.
There's on-site maintenance and laundry, which makes daily chores easier, and plenty of community amenities like a fitness center, activity room, media room, spa/wellness space, community library, business room, game room, movie theater, and arts room, plus a gazebo, walking paths, and outdoor space for events and programs. Folks will find wheelchair access throughout, as well as grab bars in the bathrooms, so you don't have to worry as much about safety. Hayden House Senior Living plans to provide a full range of dining services: communal dining room, all-day and restaurant-style dining, meal preparation, and special diet options, including allergy-sensitive and diabetes-friendly meals.
The facility offers housekeeping, help with moving in, laundry service, concierge, and family support services to make the transition smoother, and there'll be scheduled transportation and parking to help residents enjoy the local area. They include a 24-hour call system and supervision, and provide non-ambulatory care for folks with limited mobility, with help for daily needs like bathing, dressing, and medication management. Their care range includes independent and assisted living, memory care, nursing, and continuing care retirement services, and staff have specialized care program names. Two full-time jobs have come out of the project so far. Hayden House Senior Living focuses on a safe, comfortable, and supportive home for seniors who want community living without giving up privacy and convenience, and with an A+ BBB rating, they've been recognized for high standards in customer service and ethical practices.
